Ok then I have some time to do it before the warranty expires. Do you know the TSB number?
This issue is annoying. Everytime I take off from a stop, i am babying the gas pedal, trying to smooth it a bit.
I got the CDF drum TSB done a few months ago. Now it doesnt slam like it did before. 1-3 and some other random gear shifts were knocking hard sometimes. It is better but still jerky. It's like i'm shifting a manual trans, especially in the 3-6 gears area and when im going to stop. Downshifts to...
Ford performance tune here and did not notice any change in MPG. Always been in between 20-25 mpg on highway depending on speed and weather conditions. Getting a 1" lift and 33s soon. Now my mpg will take a hit.
I would say just a bit less, may be half an inch. I was using the tremor steps to get in and out, but not these D6 because they sit higher. Im getting crap on my pants too now. Its almost like a cab long tremor step.
They are not that good as a step, but they look good and offers a lot more...
I changed the OEM side steps of my Tremor for a pair of Go Rhino D6 for better clearance and protection. A guy with a 2024 was interested into buying my old steps. We could not find an answer anywhere to know if they fit his new truck. Every websites that are selling them state they fit...
Question for people who has the tune.
Is your transmission still skipping gears?
I read at a few places that with the tune, it no longer skip gears. I had the tune installed at a Ford dealership a week ago (they took 5,5hours to do it -.-). I was expecting to not see that annoying 1-3 gear...
Oh well, this is not encouraging. Guess it is a good idea to stop putting money on this truck (was planning Ford performance tune and a 1" lift to fit 33s) and see how it goes with the repair until i'm out of warranty and get rid of it for a new one. I've got 31 000 kilometers lef
Update 1
As they needed to keep the truck longer, waiting for parts, I went to pick up a loaner. The guy told me they were going for the CDF drum. They didn't follow the steps of the TSB but i'm glad that in the end they are going in the right direction. The truck should be reqdy this week...
I found it very useful to read everyones experience about their transmission issues. So here is mine. I am currently at 69 000km (about 43 000 miles). Glad to still be under warranty.
I experienced hard and delayed upshifts and some downshifts since my first winter with the truck. Got worse and...
I have a set of 17x8.5 Method 305 with +25 offset on my Tremor with stock General Grabbers 265/70/17. I believe it is 0.8" lifted compared to your FX4. I had to change the crash bars for the Readylift for mor clearance. Rear bars were very close, but no rubbing. But the front needed to be...
Do you have a picture with them mounted on the truck?
And how do you compare the stiffness on the road to the Grabbers in load C? Looking for a new set soon to replace the Grabbers on my Tremor too and I would like to get away from an LT, since I don't go offroad much and complaint about how...
Installed a new set of wheels. Black Rhino mondo 17x8.5 offset +20, on stock tremor general tires 265/70/17 and stock suspension. I had the front crash bar changed for the Readylift ones, but the rear are still the stock ones. No rubbing so far, but it's very close at full lock. I will soon...
What caught my attention was the weight for the size in XL load. Going at a lower load range than C seemed to be a good deal for someone who doesn't offroad that much and complaints about the stiffness on pavement of a LT tire
It's also not available in any other tires that i've seen. Not many...
I think we have the canadian version wich is called Pneus à rabais. It's nowhere to be seen on this website, or on any other tire website. If there was a Discount tire store in Vermont, New York or New Hampshire that is not to far from the border, I could easily go and pick them there, I live...
Currently still running on Tremor original 265/70/17 General Grabbers. Looking for a set of 275/70/17, but in load C at maximum. No need for an E. I am interested to get a bit bigger tires, but don't have room for much. I have Readylift crash bars installed and I will soon get the 1" Tremor lift...
Tremor comes standard with a 32" spare tire. It fits. When i installed my aftermarket hitch, i lowered the spare and put it back up after the install. It is tight indeed, but definitely fits.
Haven't read the whole 51 pages, but anyone had this problem with the Tremor? I don't feel any obvious vibration at a specific speed, but i feel the thump when i accelerate from a stop and when i brake to a complete stop. One of the oldest TSB about this problem specifiesthat it's not...
