Motor Mount finally arrived. I'm scheduled for Tuesday to replace the mount.
I'd put polyurethane mounts if they were available but I haven't found any.
I just bought a new Kia Rio to drive to work and I went over one speed bump without slowing down and it was a loud bang lol. I slow down...
I called Lakeland parts because they had it for $80 with $15 shipping but they said it would take.7 business days to get to them then another 5 business days to get to me.
Another thing I was thinking about is that I have rough shifting in my tune. So yea.
As far as what type of failure I...
I just called another parts department and they gave me 6038g. $140 as well.
KB3Z6038G seems to be the repeatable part number and what I need. It supercedes 6038c so what was wrong with that one?
My guess is that I have the C and that engineering revised it and now I would replace it with...
Thanks whiplash, I definitely need a 3rd vehicle so that I don't have to drive my wife to work and back in the f150 when I'm repairing or doing maintenance on mine. I'll pick up a 2024 expedition once I finish the house drawings and get a new construction loan.
I called the local dealership...
Pretty much I drive the truck fast and I don't swerve and weave around pot holes I use my suspension and big tires to soak it up so I'm sure the 4 years of driving to and from the university over every terrain, flying off the highway to avoid accident pile ups, poor city streets in Dallas TX...
Actually, I did a few mods at once.
Got my coilovers serviced and also put slightly stiffer coil springs and also put the 35's on. Ran as smooth as I've ever had it for about a week and then all of a sudden it started getting clunky over quick bumps and edges in the road. Figured it was a...
Probably from all the power from the mods and tune honestly. This thing is so fast it's scary. Lol jk. Looks like the motor mount is around $85 so I'll replace it and if another goes then I can look into polyurethane mounts but I wouldn't think anyone has any.
Seems like a straightforward repair.
What's up guys, seems I got a bad motor mount and should have a quote to replace it tomorrow with my local mechanic.
2019 XLT with 58k miles.
When giving her gas, the motor moves a lot.
So I was driving and floored it while going around a car and thought that I had loose steering after...
Yea I think I broke it free from down under and then went back up top with a tiny ratcheting wrench to fully loosen it. I've done it about 3 times now and my pipe is fully wrapped with exhaust wrap. It's only the first time that it's so tight.
Your build sounds great!
I have a CVF downpipe with mbrp catback. I like the sound when I'm driving, but my wife drove the truck the other day and when I heard her arrive to the house I was thinking man that car coming down the street sounds horrible and then I realized it was my truck lmao.
Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I do value your opinion since you actually have both. I do think the 5g is stout and I forgot it came with coils.
And thanks, that's my preference on stance. If I ever was to sell it I would definitely put fiberglass on the next truck. I love the look of...
Really? I think the new gen RR is way better, faster, rear coils. If I could change one thing I would have that 3.0 TT, but I got the 2.3 so a 5.0 is on the list down the road.
Here's some shot of my truck the day I finished the bed cage. My tires.are flush with the +4.5 fenders.
I would really like to go hydraulic ram assist.
I hit a wall with my wheel turned all the way trying to correct my truck when I lost traction and got sideways going around a wreck that had oil spilled on the ground. My steering was off so I got an alignment but I would get a sound when turning...
Hahaha yes. Sorry, it's strong for OEM parts, but the OP obviously has bigger tires so yea we are probably talking about steering problems with bigger tires.
