Happens to mine too but it's a good thing for me because it's pretty much at the limit of my travel. It stops me at 11 inches of travel. But I noticed at full droop with the UCA sitting on that flange, my tie rods are about maxed out as well as the upper uniball to the knuckle. And also, at full...
I've read a few threads trying to find the rear axle spline count. From what I've gathered, does anyone here know if the following is true?
1) that a rear axle equipped with the e locker has 31 spline axles?
2) that a rear axle not equipped with the e locker has 32 spline axles?
Has anyone...
Link the rear. Jk, well I'm not but want to tay on topic.
Bilstein 5100's all around. These use digressive pistons which will help on the areas you mentioned.
Eibach 3" 550 lift springs up front with the shock ring at the lowest setting.
BDS 1" shackles.
A little weight in the bed like a...
That sounds like a legit prerunner.
Heck yea. I would definitely love to work on the RR team as a manufacturing engineer. You're right, the mechanical engineers have to be able to account for a factor of safety on each mechanical component and determine a set number of cycles each product...
Heck yea it takes a lot of work to get the power to what the RR will come with stock.
And I don't see an argue when you have smart shocks on the RR I wish I had those. I think it's a combo of position and velocity relative shocks. Like as the position of the piston gets further into the travel...
Everyone at school has some project car they're always wrenching on and we have a little fun. My senior design I am going to have 2 projects. One is a team of 4 students to design and fab a roll cage for my truck and the other team is going to design and fab a rear 4 link suspension. I have more...
The engineering building at North Texas is 2 miles away from the main campus. When we leave class the roads are empty and we take off and have a little fun and then I drive it conservatively home. Big open roads. Well they used to be, not so much any more.
I hit over 120 pretty often on the highway. Haven't had a sway bar for a year now. I've found that the compression on the rear shocks is what helps on dips on the highway. For example I put on the stock rear shocks when I was getting my rears tuned and I definitely puckered up doing about 90...
2.0 or 2.5?
I feel like 2.5's are pretty firm for a mostly street truck. I like the way the stock shocks compression feels but the rebound is horrible on the stock red shocks with the deavers springs. I would think the 2.0's are a solid middle ground.
Pass one every day. Best darn restrooms. There is always someone in there cleaning. I mean each stall is like a tile man cave. Good coffee. Good brisket. Got gas once there because I was with a group but I normally only use shell premium.
I second this.
Wanted Kings, didn't want to wait.
Icon came quick and puts a smile on my face every day. I take the road by the golf course every morning to work just to hit every speed bump. I fly off the highway when there's traffic. It's awesome. When I race my buddies on empty roads in their...
