  1. Fuel in oil

High octane gas burns slower than lower octane gas and I question your analysis on gdi "because the time for fuel to burn" statement.
  2. Fuel in oil

Wow and the owners manual says do not over fill the crankcase else engine damage will occur and they have no problem with that. I would definitely demand documentation to protect your interests. Don't give up and good luck.
  3. Fuel in oil

Phil Thanks I was just wondering if some folks that are having fuel in oil issues have their fobs close enough to repeatedly trigger the fuel pump. I can see where that could possibly allow fuel to the crankcase especially if you have bad injectors.
  4. Fuel in oil

Phil I have a question maybe you can answer for me. Many times I'm working in my garage with door open truck parked in driveway no sounds coming from the truck, then one day I'm tinkering in the garage waiting for the wife and hear noise from truck sounds like fuel pump? Only difference is I...

    Good luck keep us posted
  6. Fuel in oil

I use 91 octane since purchase and first oil change using mobile 1 annual. Just under 6k miles and last time I checked the oil level strong raw gas odor but no noticeable increase in crankcase
  7. Fuel in oil

My bad I should have been more specific. Lets try this the oil never smelt like gas and consequently the oil level never increased.
  8. Fuel in oil

Increased crankcase level above the max level, fuel dilution changes the oil viscosity are a couple that come to mind.
  9. Fuel in oil

Makes me wonder to they say no fuel dilution but show .5% in the chart. I wouldn't think that amount would change the viscosity.
  10. Fuel in oil

You are missing my point I'm talking about raw fuel contamination that increases the crankcase level. I agree that blow by contaniments get trapped in the oil hence the need to change oil periodically
  11. Fuel in oil

Any increase in crankcase level from raw fuel contamination is too much.
  12. Fuel in oil

I agree any fuel in the oil causes dilution and yes to some extent some fuel may make it's way into the crankcase for a variety of reasons and a properly running engine will absorb that minuscule amount of fuel as mentioned but like I said if there is no increase in crank case oil level there is...
  13. Fuel in oil

Explain what you call fuel dilution please. In my experience every engine may have a certain amount of "BLOW BY " which is spent combustion gases. The higher the cylinder pressure the more blow by depending on how well the rings have seated. Brand new engines will usually have more blow by gases...
  14. Fuel in oil

I never had fuel dilution in my 2011 DI 2.4 buick had 40k on it when I traded it in. I did my oil changes never ever had increased level in oil never any fuel dilution
  15. Fuel in oil

Dont fall for the BS about short run times being the cause. What you need to do is introduce them to the owners manual (excessive crankcase level )and this forum. We've had at least one dealer stepping up and doing their job.
  16. Fuel in oil

Nope never had any fuel in oil in my regals 2.4 DI engine
  17. Fuel in oil

Yes interesting, the new vehicles that I've purchased always were gone over by the dealer. They had a check list that came from the manufacturer (a pre delivery service manual) When I bought my first new 1986 Ford regular cab F150 4 wheel drive heavy duty suspension . I also bought the 1986 F...
