now Ive started to get this message every time I park my truck of course dealer says nothing to worry about its normal....... anyone have any real luck with this??? its a 2020 XLT at about 18 k miles and 2 years
not exactly -- it does not cover "everything" but most things the brochure and or a sample contract are on the website. its as comprehensive as you can get excludes anything that is or could be called a maintenance item like brake rotors, belts / hoses, batteries interior parts etc. seems like a...
that name::::: its Andrew Gardner --- internet sales extended warranty Dept -yes its a real place, my order showed up on "my ford" app within 5 minutes of speaking with him (had to correct the CC number scrambled by webpage) and I received the emailed documents as well ..... its legit ford...
I bought mine on the 4th -- today (7th) I got a call from flood ford saying their webpage was messing up credit card numbers on some orders so either papal or call him back to correct the CC number, I corrected the card number and less than 5 minutes later, showed on "my ford" and had the...
actually if youre under 3/36 you can cancel it and likely re buy with better for less the have to wait until 36k is a lie. if you do that you cannot buy the "new car extended warranty" so it will cost you a lot more. its a pro rated refund yes. look at flood ford its cheaper fwiw -- that term...
as long as they insist on the auto renewal for the "current price" and dont let you cancel without dealing with 45 minutes of back and forth with the call center -- podcasts and the internet are a better value for me. I miss it some but there are just to many other options out there to put up...
the inflation issue is what got me. Price of everything, goods, materials, labor, etc is going up. What used to be a $600 or $700 repair is now going to be much more expensive.
its the electronics and all that stuff that scare me -- cars are just not repairable by owners anymore its all far...
I wish my state (TX) required it or offered it, the windshield on these trucks is about 1k and my Subaru???? a whole lot more. It goes agains my comp. deductible if I have to get another one hopefully can catch it in the repairable stage. My wife is from the MA and it is required there fro all...
mine either -- bought it on the fourth as well. I got the confirmation of order by nothing further yet, I guess it not that big a deal since still under the 3/36 for another year and they still haven't charged my card yet or taken my points.
fords extended warranty is pretty reasonable compared to other companies as long as they keep letting dealers who want to discount them and sell nationwide -- my dealer sells it for more than twice what I paid from flood ford.
gotta do the math and figure out how much you actually drive -- for me I seem to average about 12k a year between my two cars so the 8/100k plan should work best for me.... do you need more time or miles? Im about 18 k on a 2020 so I should have plenty of wiggle room with this one. you can also...
I also type to slowly!!!!
I checked both sites and flood was cheaper so I went with them and btw, at checkout you can use your ford points for a discount (on both sites I believe) but floods price is clearer, it shows a nice grid with all times and milages with deductibles clearly as well with...
what I was worried about is how to prove it if I ever have to file a claim with the extended warranty-- what proof is "enough" I always use motorcraft filters (dirt cheap at Walmart) and the ford blend oil - I change it about every 5-7k myself its just easier than paying 80 bucks and sitting...
Ive purchased 3 from ford and when I trade in the car, I cancel it and get a pro rated refund usually about 1/2 by the time I do it so I get the piece of mind for a few hundred bucks. I generally keep cars about 5 years or so but as much as they cost now, Im hoping to keep the ranger a little...
its happened to all of us --- dealers make money knowing many people wont question them or even read it .......
cancel it --- somewhere in the contract there is a cancelation number or go back to the dealer that sold it to you to do it, you wont get every dollar back but at the very least...
hey does anyone know for sure that using to ford app (lets you take photos of receipts showing purchase of oil / filters etc) to track my own maintenance is sufficient to protect our warranty???? I do make sure to take the photo showing the purchase but I do buy oil in the 5qt jugs so I always...
call 'em --I got my confirmation of the order within about 2 minutes I seem to average about 10k a year so far but I went with the 8/100 giving me 6 more years coverage (its turning 2 in a couple of weeks) seems like a good price point and yea today (1/4/22) is the last day before the price increase
wow! glad you walked away from it ---- I hope you can find a good replacement but I Guess you still make out pretty good either way because trucks can be replaced people cant
and remembe that you have 60 days to Get a full refund -- time to think about it..... and even after that, you can get a pro-rated refund. its a bet most will lose but some will "win" by guessing correctly and having a failure that the warranty covers - again most of us will lose but it gives me...
was that a ford warranty???? I dont trust 3rd party ones much - bad experience a long time ago-- the company went out of business and repair wasn't covered. And dealerships dont give you anything for "free" might look over the paperwork and see what you paid for it (its gotta be there somewhere)...
