The noco gb 40 for me as well, I have one for both cars and I always take it with me in the boat when I take it out just in case it’s so much easier than jumper cables. I Got them both on Black Friday sales last year they are still fully charged after a year I pull them out every 6 months or so...
thanks, Im coming up on 40k myself and was considering having mine changed, I think ill let it go till about 50k that fluid looks pretty decent but yes an early change can't hurt anything as long as the right amount gets put back in... Ill have the dealer do mine when I do it just to protect the...
wow that sucks.... these tail lights are ridiculously expensive and dont they have to be programed by the dealer to work??? for the blind spot radar?? how are thieves or those who buy stolen ones getting them programed to the truck or am I wrong about that? how about we start to actually...
wow…. thats pretty extensive i have a 22 and it seems fine hopefully itll stay that way. funny one of the reasons i chose the ranger is because of multiple reports of transmission issues with chevys. last time i was in for service the writer commented about the issies with F150s but said...
I used a tap to clean them out, i tried brushes etc and nope….. the tap cleaned them out easily. sorry i cant remember the size but someone else had posted it.
no issues other than they are absolute garbage in the rain or any moisure at all —- seems like the ranger is actually trying to kill me! yes i know its rear wheel drive but its exceptionally bad with these, im going to try different when i replace
i also have a 2020 and my coolant has been at that same level since new — i keep meaning to go get some and top it up but havent yet….. the yellow is the right one for 2020 and it is the newest longest lasting which is good i guess they test it at like 100k replace at i think 150 if i remember...
surprised my stock tires the dynapro hankook things are still good at 31k I do rotate every 5k so maybe that helps..... do the michelins do any better in rain??? the stock ones really do try very hard to get me killed every time the road is wet - truck slides all over the place when I buy new...
so if you were to put the old radar module in the new tail light you are good to go? that's easier. Im still going to just leave it with the glue as long as I can, it's not really noticeable and not leaking water so its good enough for me but good to know thanks!
me also! I was going to do Diff fluid at about 60k but might as well do it every 30 it looks easier than an oil change I like those oil bags I wonder if I can find them local? never seen them before its a great idea! --- I tow regularly and I plan to keep this thing as long as I can --- I kinda...
watching this - I cracked my right one at Home Depot loading boards...... It still works so I put some model glue on it to seal out the water so far so good....... ridiculous how expensive this things are. hoping they get cheaper and having to program a tail light to the car???? now we've hit a...
great write- up your pictures are clear and giving the part numbers is great! awesome to have as well! -- by locker you mean the E-locking rear end right??? thats what I have on my FX2, I just had dealer do the 30k brake fluid change and they told me no need to do axle fluid when I asked but I...
Im in North texas where it really is hot as hell in summer so im sure that doesnt help at all but I may try that now and then just to top it up, I have one for my boat anyway a 5 amp charger / maintainer so I really should- I did see a post before about making sure to hook charger up to engine...
My stock battery died after about two years replaced under warranty the best / only good thing about it is at least it gives us a lot of warning it was about a month and a half of "shutting blah blah off the save battery" before the radio would only run 5 minutes - thats when ford replaced the...
I do know the brake flush is itemized in the book every 3 years regardless of mileage, I did the induction / injection and normal "works" devices last week at 30k because I plan to keep the truck the brake flush was about that price and the induction service? seems like a good idea because these...
I know what you mean..... crazy stupid times we live in right now. I am planning to keep this truck for at least 100k or maybe longer not perfect but it meets my needs. I also liked the idea of the maverick but the more I see them, the less I like them. Im going to do what is in the recommended...
hey on the brake fluid question we were kicking back and forth before: I just pulled up my owners manual for the 2020 ranger on the ford site -- it IS in there to change the brake fluid every 3 years (doesn't specify mileage) as required maintenance so do as you'd like but Im going to go ahead...
still havent decided on the brake fluid flush, -- ford also doest not recommend trans fluid flush or coolant (depends on the year and color) until like 100k and rear axle until like 5 years but many do that sooner and I probably will also Id swear I found brake fluid flush in the manual for my...
yep --- the my ford app has a place to record maintenance and photos of receipts for the parts they even remind you to black out any personal info and anything the dealer does shows up in the app as well, it really is pretty easy to keep track of.
that was my thought and opinion as well --- I never did it with any car in the past I first ran into it with my Subaru this year and thought it was BS like injection cleaner but looked into it and ford also recommends it every 30k its supposed to help keep the ABS modules / pumps calipers etc...
