That is how my Nova's are too. I am fine with that. It appears that the vertical part is just for the start up which is a bit odd. I did connect the grill lights to the DRL and like the look.
EDIT: It looks like that is by design. See second photo.
As stated here. https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9603-REB
I did the ProCal tune on my Ranger and my brother's Bronco but used Forscan to do tire size changes on both of them. I never tried with the ProCal.
Correct. After you do the "Write", I believe it tells you to power off. Do that, then turn the key to "Run" without starting. Then, turn it to off, disconnect the OBDII and start the motor. Everything should appear normal at that point.
I went to 265/70R17 and changed from 2360 to 2438 with no issues. Try again and do the power cycle as it tells you to (off and then on with no start). Turn it off and start the motor normally. I actually made about 4 changes, followed by a test drive and using 10 miles worth of mile markers and...
That doesn't surprise me. Good luck collecting! My brother had to go there for work to pick up some stuff. 36 gallon tank in his F-150 came in handy. :)
There are exceptions, just a general thing. I have a good friend of 50+ years and amazing mechanic. I have worked for him on and off for 30 years. He worked for a local Ford dealership for about 6 months and left to open his own shop. He hated flat rate and the sub-standard work that is...
Dealerships in general. I have worked at repair shops as side work for 25 years and every mechanic I worked with that worked at a dealership advised against taking a car there ever. I have heard horror stories of heads being "torqued" with an impact gun to the 17 YO with the broom getting sent...
I always do my own but my last choice would be a dealership. Ask around for recommendations for a local shop, preferably one where the name ends in “& Son”.
I live in Arizona and everyone here knows if you have to go to California, fill up on the state line and bring a 5 gallon can. Hopefully you can get in and out without refueling there.
I got a set of OLM headlights ((like Morimoto XB) a while back on Ebay for under $450. Took a chance with no warranty. They were fine for a while but occasionally a few bulbs in the sequential directional wouldn't illuminate. Then, on low beam they started leaking light like highs were partially...
Time delay is fine. Dating myself here but when I was in high school in the '70's, occasionally I would wave around a wire coat hanger and admonish my 9 YO brother with "No wire hangers ever!". He was amused by it but one day he was watching the movie "Mommy Dearest" in his college dorm. When...
Thanks, I got a good wrench for that I hope and a 12V pump. Still mulling the bolt situation. I may make a cardboard mock up of the pan to hold the bolts.
