Tires vary by brand a lot. I just went to Continental TerrainContact A/T and they run pretty big. They are 1 inch taller and nearly an inch wider than the stock 265/65R17 Hankook's on my FX4. BFG KO2's run the smallest. I did go up 3/4" in the front but have had no rubbing. These photos may help.
Mine were worn out at 18K miles but I run a twisty mountain road a lot. Never had that issue. I went to a category I never heard of before, On Road All Terrain and got Continental TerrainContact A/T. Lok like they belong on a 4x4 and ride smooth and quiet. 60K warranty.
I get that driving twisty mountain roads near me @ 5 to 20 over the speed limit. There are two ways for me to drive from central AZ to southern NV. One is I40 which is posted 75 and everyone goes 80+, the other is old Route 66 Mostly posted 65 with no traffic. 22 ish MPG taking I40, 26 ish...
Definite no on the Real Truck and these brackets look the same. Pull the bed loops off, put the brackets in place and put the loops and bolts back. 5 minutes each side.
I have a pair of these and they work great. Looks like a very close knock-off. https://realtruck.com/p/undercover-swing-case-truck-bed-toolbox/v/ford/ranger/2022/
Mine was last year, I live 2700 miles away so I didn't make it. My friends comment when he went to his was "I wish I knew everyone was sending their parents, I had nothing in common with them."
My goal was to improve all around performance on my FX4, without impacting mileage and daily drivability, as well as keeping it stock looking enough that the average person wouldn't notice. It got Eibach Pro-Truck shocks and struts. Just went with the 3/4 inch lift on the front. Very noticeable...
I would reach out to Shock Surplus. These guys are really into it and test everything they sell. Some great write ups as well. As I said in another comment, I put the Eibach Pro Truck on my 2022 FX4 with 12k miles and they are far smoother on fire roads and handle better than OEM.
Agree 100%. I put the Eibach Pro Truck on my 2022 FX4 with 12k miles and they are far smoother on fire roads and handle better than OEM. Worth every penny. FWIW, I lifted the front one notch for 3/4" and it looks great. Still has a forward rake, just not as extreme.
I went from a 2019 XL 2WD to a 2022 XLT FX4 and there is a world of difference, like you said. Recently installed Eibach Pro Truck shocks and struts and it was the same jump again. Handling on paved roads and ride on fire roads is much better.
Where I live, in the mountains of Arizona, with large snowfalls, my street isn't plowed until the next day. I took my Jeep (315/70R17 Toyo Open Country R/T Trail) and my Ranger FX4 with the Hankooks out to see which was best in 14"+ of fresh snow. Ranger won that one hands down. I thought it did...
I was torn between the AT and all season as well and stumbled on another category, On-Road All-Terrain. I finally settled on Continental TerrainContact A/T...
