So the body shop I visited (been in business since 1987 and very reputable) that said the fender is aluminum is wrong then??? Very interesting! A plastic fender would not dent the way an aluminum fender would. Plus, plastic would show stress marks, paint would crack, the color would change...

Update: Met with our local auto body shop (been around since 1987 and super well known and well liked in the community). Due to the factory bend line, paint-less dent repair will not work for the aluminum fender. $1,500 - $2,000 to repair. No big deal as I was going to have to pay my $500...

It's not a plastic fender, it's aluminum.

Only good thing about a windshield - I have full glass coverage.

Pretty sure my fender is aluminum - I tested it with a magnet. It's a 2021 model. No cracks in the paint, but I will have to talk to a body shop for sure. The bird I hit was definitely the size of a large duck or falcon.
