Nice workmanship ! Looks pretty "factory".
I haul my 70 pound GWP around in the back seat, bought a seat cover from Amazon to protect it.
Don't think I'd do a seat delete though as a few times a year a person needs to sit back there.
I just have to unsnap the hair infested seat cover before...
So if you have to press a button when you shut the truck off, why not just press the button on the console instead(on start-up), and save opening up the dash and spending $80 ?
I quit paying for Netflix for a while and have been watching the movies and series on Amazon prime.
A while back I saw two science fiction adventure/comedies, Iron Sky and Iron Sky: The Coming Race.
The concept was that some Nazis had escaped after WWII by going to the dark side of the moon...
The AutoStop Eliminator ad says "Forget about the hacks, this is a real solution !
Sure they'll say that, they are selling them for $85.
For what you paid for the device, you could get an interface cable for your laptop, a free trial to Forscan, and have $60 left over. And not only be able to...
I'd love to have a pistol caliber carbine to plink with, it would be fun. But a person can do much better for a truck gun.
Yes, the longer barrel of a carbine gives a 9mm more velocity and accuracy, but it is still just a weak pistol cartridge, in a package that is nearly as long and heavy as...
I have a full size 9mm, a S&W M&P with 5 inch barrel, but had been thinking about getting a "micro 9mm".
My carry for over 20 years was a 4 inch Kimber 1911. In 2016 I bought 3 Shields, 9mm, 40 (ported PC model) and .45. I gave the 9mm to my daughter and the .45 Shield has been my carry for the...
You can also just turn your headlight switch to the second from right position and auto high beams won't come on.
If I am driving out in the country I put the switch all the way to the right (on Auto) as I want the auto high beams then.
It's annoying in a town to have the high beams kick on if...
In the 90's I bought a brand new F-150 from a Tucson Ford dealer. Dark Green short box 4x4 with 17 miles on it.
It had highway tires on it though, so right after driving it off the lot, I took it to a big tire place nearby and bought some BFG All Terrains. Won't mention the name of the tire...
Don't assume that since the work is taking place at a dealer that it will be done correctly.
As others have noted, the new hires and least competent are the ones working in the lube bays.
I have had a couple of changes done at dealerships where the oil fill cap was left on top of the engine...
There is a fix in Forscan for the mushy brakes. You hear a good half minute of clicking and whirring sounds, after that you have much firmer brake feel.
While in Forscan, I disabled the seatbelt chimes, changed the panic button on the key fob to need two presses instead of one, enabled the "fog...
The worst part of (most) all of the Japanese bodies are the front end and grill.
I don't get why the headlights have those cuts coming down off them.
Just when I think Japanese cars couldn't get any uglier I see a new one go by that wins the top prize.
I had USAA for 25 years, but two years ago I had a rate increase (never had an accident, tickets, etc.)
I was told it was because I had two windshield crack repairs.
They tell you they waive the deductible, but don't tell you that asking to get your windshield crack repaired is the same as...
When I got my Ranger I traded in a 2013 Escape with 130K on it, and it had crudded up intake valves.
I didn't want that to happen to this new engine if I could help it.
The UPR Dual was $260 from Stage 3.
2019-2022 Ford Ranger 2.3L EcoBoost Oil Catch Cans (stage3motorsports.com)
They also carry...
I don't think my doors are hanging wrong or anything is amiss with the weatherstripping.
I chalk it up to the design.
I'll get on the freeway and raise all my windows, and from the noise you'd think the windows didn't close all the way.
I remember when batteries used to last 4 years, now the ones I've had barely last two.
Has anyone else been driving down the highway and a message appears that says "KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL ! Well, it's not worded exactly like that, but apparently thinks that no one is steering...
I have the UPR dual can. So far, the can only has anything in it if I've been driving when it is cold.
This time of year, the nights are still freezing but days are 55-70.
When I have to go somewhere early and drive a few hours in the cold, a LOT comes out of the can.
If I don't drive until it's...
I saw this when I was last in Forscan, I'd have to go back in to remember which module.
AS/S doesn't bother me, I just use lighter brake pressure when I don't want the engine to shut off, heavy pressure when I do want it to.
As far as pushing your suspension to the limit, I'm talking going pretty slow over rougher terrain.
My truck isn't a rental I got and I'm not trading it in anytime soon, so I want it to stay unbroken.
Worst case scenario on deep parallel ruts is you come down off of the crests with your tires...
Don't overthink it jblc. If you start adding skid plates, etc. to your 2wd then you are probably going to voluntarily get in situations where you'll need that recovery equipment.
Be aware of what you are heading into and get out and scout ahead if need be.
And remember, momentum is your friend...
