At 1700 miles I finally saw my second new Ranger on the road. As I turned right at a signal I noticed a black Ranger waiting at the light. It was such a brief glance, I wasnāt able to tell what trim model it was. This happened in Placentia, CA in northern O.C..
After picking up my Ranger last April 16th, I went till last Wednesday (July 3rd) before I finally saw another that wasn't' on a dealer's lot. I saw a silver XLT in the Sam's Club lot in Placentia, CA. Spoke with the owner and he had actually bought it in Missoula, Montana. I chuckled to myself...
Finally got the time today to install my AutoStop Eliminator circuit. The hardest part was removing those d#@m fascia panels to get to the cabling. Once I did, it was a piece of cake.
It's because old farts like me keep 'forgetting' to press the button until it shuts off the first time and then we cuss under our breath while we fumble around trying push that da*n button. lol
Ok, I get it. My daughter likes to do that with her Tundra. I guess it just gives her a confidence that the truck actually locked itself by hearing the horn beep. Whenever I drove her truck just hearing the locks click was good enough for me.. I didnāt need to be assaulted with the home blasting...
Not sure what you mean when you say "lock with beep". Do you mean that when you lock the doors and don't hear a beep, the power is still on? I don't think I have ever heard a beep. Of course, I don't use the FOB to lock the truck, I just touch the door handle and confirm I heart the locks click.
I usually leave my left side showing the digital speed and have used the settings to split the fuel gauge to show both the fuel and a sliding bar tachometer.
I have one. I bought it through the dealer's parts department the first week I had my truck. I comes in pieces you have to assemble.
Do I like it? Eh! It is just 'OK' I thought the one I had for my old Sport Trac was much nicer looking and I definitely liked the Sport Trac's method of mounting...
Amen to the annoying location of the emergency flasher button. I also accidentally press it at least a couple time a week when trying to find a place to rest a finger or two to accurately press somewhere on the touch screen.
My Remote Start, Lane Keeping Assist, Auto High Beams are disabled via...
I have yet to see another one besides mine. I have had it for a little over a month now. I find that surprising and this is a populated area (Orange County south of L.A.), so there HAVE to be others around. Go figure.
Sorry for the delay on posting results. The dealer did confirm a defective battery. With the very low voltage across the posts, I suspect there was more that just one cell shorted. At any rate, they replaced the battery under warranty with no charge.
They were unable to find any problem to...
Well, I went to go to a doctor's appointment this afternoon and the battery was just dead... Nothing, nada. It surprised me.
Tried to put it on my charger and it would drop off with a failure code (on charger) that indicated a short in one of the cells.
Not all that confident on the charger's...
For some reason referring to the 'S' position on the shifter as the 'Sport mode' seems silly. I know that is what it is called but it still seems silly to me. I like to refer to it a select mode even tho that sounds wrong too.
I hadn't realized that S mode disabled the auto stop. Although that...
I am not happy either with the ride of my Bridgestone Dualers 2WD Lariat SuperCrew. After relieving the excessive over-inflation (45 psi) they came with, they still bounce around at freeway speeds. I did notice when I happened to take a small load of concrete stepping stones to a friend's house...
