Washington near Seattle isn't any better, licensing and state/local fees added up to over $600 for just the ranger. Most of that is extra vehicle taxes to pay for mass transit projects. It sucks but hey, roads aren't free right?
Agreed, seems too eager to shift in some scenarios and too hesitant in others. Staying in lower gears a bit longer would be nice too, keep the RPMs up.
Same thing happens to me occasionally. It can also happen when I am coasting down a hill then accelerate again. Feels like the transmission is trying to "catch up" to the wheels and clunks when the gears mesh.
As far as the downshift goes this really annoys me. With 10 speeds there is no excuse...
Custom sounds and notifications would be great! I'd like the HAL9000 one: "Please fasten your seat belt, Dave", "You forgot to disengage the parking break, Dave", "That wasn't a speed bump in that school zone, Dave"....
Definitely a learning curve for me with the SYNC system and integrating my phone. Previous car was very sparse on tech.
Glad to hear the truck keeps getting better as it breaks in. I am at 900 miles and already I can feel the difference.
Buster: don't give up! We are all facing little...
I had that vibration when the transmission is under load and the engine is at low rpm, sort of like the transmission is trying to downshift but cant. Usually occurred when starting up a hill at low speeds, like in a neighborhood or something when I am super soft on the throttle. I now know that...
Agreed, that is BS. The STARTING discount around here is the Costco price and most will beat that. All the dealers are claiming to be unable to hold them on the lots but I went back to one three weeks later and saw the same Rangers sitting there. Of course that was also the same dealership that...
Drove in the wet snow to work this morning. Comfortable and composed, never needed to use the 4WD. Enough control to stay safe, but close enough to fun so I could get the back end out in the parking lot :like:
The compact size is VERY nice! I didn't realize how often I need to parallel park and...
I took mine into the dealer last weekend. I was the first one to buy a Ranger from them so I had the pleasure of being the first Ranger their techs had ever worked on. They took 1.5 hours to perform the check, apparently there wasn't a problem. They didn't even wash the truck for me!
I think...
I don't think you fully understand the chemistry behind emissions, or the effects of those emissions on both the environment and human health. And before you start denying climate change take a look at what the military is doing, particularly the Coast Guard and Navy. Climate change is...
I will be putting a tailgate pad on for hauling bikes, any thoughts on how to protect it? I have been told that as long as I don't leave the pad on all the time, keep the pad and tailgate clean, and apply a few extra coats of wax before putting the pad on I should be OK. I already threw some 3M...
I hadn't connected FordPass yet so I had to go and start the truck to get it connected. 37 PSI cold all around, oof. How accurate have you guys found the built-in pressure sensors to be?
I have that feeling too, low speed/slow acceleration has a sort of feeling like power is cutting in and out. I put in 89 octane fuel and now have about 400 miles on it and already the problem is going away. I'll check the tires in a bit and report back. I have a feeling they are over inflated.
Nice!
I am going to detail mine this weekend. Have any advice on how to wash it? It sounds like using three buckets, good car wash soap, and terry/microfiber towels to dry should work well.
