Has anyone been able to get their order deposit back for any reason?
Well if you are set on your decision then you won't mind us talking about how awesome our new rides are! Just kidding (sort of), I wish I had your patience. How close are you to a delivery? Is your current ride decent? My...
I have been driving the truck for about a week now and the start/stop isn't perfect but it doesn't really bother me. I live in the Seattle area so traffic SUCKS. Freeways aren't an option so I end up on back roads a lot, and that means lots of stop lights. That also means a lot of idling, so...
I ended up adding 2-3mm worth of washers and only then by slamming it could I get it to stay. I'm sure if I slammed harder I could have gotten away with less but I don't like the idea of slamming anything hard on a new vehicle.
As others have pointed out there really isn't a reason to lower...
I went ahead and tried the ultimate compound and wax, they did a fantastic job! I can still see the biggest scratch if I really look for it but practically it is fine.
I just checked and sure enough my rear seat won't latch, and it only has three bumpers. The seat was unlatched when I received it from the dealer, never noticed until I saw this thread. At least now I know what that "thud" is whenever I go over a speed bump!
I think I am going to try the trick...
With the next fill-up I am going to keep a notebook in the glove compartment to keep track of MPG then compare it to the computer. Guess we'll find out what the numbers are, but so far the truck says 22 MPG.
Nice work on the tank! I have a friend who races flat track in the vintage class, has an old TT500 that he works on. Lots of work getting the paint right.
Do you mean a polishing compound? Pardon my ignorance, but I'm guessing the procedure is clean, lightly polish with polishing compound...
Ugh, that doesn't sound good. The scratches shown in the picture BARELY catch the very edge of my fingernail but I found two others that seem to be deeper. Strange thing is that the deeper ones are not as visible and definitely didn't make it to the primer.
I think I am going to try Meguiar's...
So far I have gotten a warning (flashing red with beeping) when going around a sharp corner with a car parked close to the road. I wasn't going to hit it but I was very close to it. I'm guessing the system gives a warning then only intervenes if a collision is deemed imminent?
Two days after driving the truck off the lot and someone already scratched it. It seems to be a medium/shallow scratch. Anyone have any recommendations for repair products? I am guessing I will need to clean, sand, polish and buff the affected area with some sort of product or kit. In the past I...
For comparison here is a picture of the same truck in overcast and sunny conditions. Excuse all the road grime, still lots of sand and dust on the roads around here from the recent heavy snow we got.
The FX4 SuperCrew rides a little harsh on pothole type hits but 1) it is brand new 2) has the 18" wheels. As far as normal roads and highways it is very smooth. Speed bumps are fine too, the rear feels a bit bouncy but then again I am used to an 05 Forester, very different vehicle. A family...
Good thread, I am looking for how to transport a dog as well.
For big dogs I'm thinking a canopy and carpet/pad in the bed might work? That's once canopies are available.
Does anyone have any experience using a tailgate pad with the Ranger? I am curious about which ones fit, how you liked them, and how you protected the paint under the pad. My concern is that dirt will get under the pad and act like an abrasive. Maybe put helicopter tape or something on the...
I ended up buying dealer stock and couldn't be happier. Getting my deposit back from the other dealer may prove difficult but the dealer I bought from was very willing to negotiate. For some reason a lot of dealers seem much more willing to offer discounts recently.
Anyways, for those waiting...
