  1. Fitting 285/75/17

Yes, your just removing the egg crates. You will still get a bit of rubbing in and out driveways.
  2. The Facts: Ford Performance Fox 2.0 Vs. Fox Performance 2.0

When ever we talk to customers we always evaluate needs vs. wants. I have no problem telling a customer they don't need to spend $4k in suspension, when they are using their truck for a daily. Even though it puts less money in my pocket, I know their positive experience and word of mouth will...
  3. The Facts: Ford Performance Fox 2.0 Vs. Fox Performance 2.0

Yes, the consensus was that the Ford variant was firmer, but never got a chance to run the two versions back to back. Would the average person be able to tell? Probably not. The Fox's were soft, but really geared to doing off road more offen. We're actually planning to pull the eibach off...
  4. Softtopper now available for 2019 ranger

I actually like my outlander, better then the soft toppers I have seen. Much better fit.
  5. Another Transmission Issue, Is This Unique?

My '19 has 87k (plus 6k flat tow) now. With cold weather here (High 30's) by LA standards, slipping is the norm every morning and even after work when the trans is cold. I just plugged my Ford programmer back in so I can start watching the trans temp and tracking it. Trans seems fine when...
  6. Sold

Still have the door seal? Mine is all torn up ☹️
  7. Fit 35s?

They are 285/75R17. Measured as a true 34" when new.
  8. Fit 35s?

I have 34's on mine right now. I may go back to 33's not sure yet. Rubs turning into a driveway. Crash bars and egg crates removed. Truck is just leveled.
  9. Mishimoto/PPE trans pan comparison

Yeap ...I did that. ? It's still busted off on their too. Need to pull what's left of the bolt out at some point. I got it to seel, so I just left it for now. I'll worry about it next filter change. ?
  10. Used Topper Shells Compatibility?

A Colorado one would probably work. I had a Colorado Tonneau cover on my Ranger for a few years. Tell you the truth, it actually fit better than the Ranger one does. ? The difference I found was a Colorado was 1" narrower in width and 1.5" longer in bed length on a 5' Ranger bed.
  11. No more radio

Is there a cheaper aftermarket option? Say like a Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, etc ..?
  12. a movie car or truck for a day ?

I actually know all these guys and have been in the parades and charity events with them. But I have to ask, why just one day, when I can just walk out to my driveway and drive it any day I want ?
  13. Transmission Fluid At 40k Miles

I live in LA, so going out of the LA area east means crossing a desert...? That trip was actually helping someone move, and it was in early spring after sundown, not even summer. When we got to Utah after midnight, it was in the 20's ?
  14. Transmission Fluid At 40k Miles

Trust me, 110-120* outside temps, 6% grade for 6 miles, with 6k+ in tow on 34's. Will do it. ?
  15. Transmission Fluid At 40k Miles

I try to keep mine under 230* and for very short times, literally minutes. Other than that 220* or lower. I have trans temp gauges on every other vehicle I own. Ford transmissions are notorious for crapping the bed early in my experience. So taking care of them is pretty crucial.
  16. Transmission Fluid At 40k Miles

I plan to use the Ford Power Programer, to monitor trans temps when towing going forward. It would have been nice for Ford to include a trans temp option in the menu. ? For a cheap option for others, I would suggest temp stickers. Then they at least know it was hot enough they should change...
  17. Transmission Fluid At 40k Miles

But Ford says it's "lifetime"? ? ?. Lifetime of coarse is highly subjective. So yes eat your vegetables, and change the Trans fluid offen. I would also recommend swapping in the PPE trans pan, for additional capacity and a drain plug for easier changes.
  18. Transmission Fluid At 40k Miles

I guess it was 71k...? Here is my transmission report. First change, heavy towing a couple times a year, mostly daily driver. A little off road when I can find the time.
  19. Transmission Fluid At 40k Miles

I changed my at 60k, and it was a lot darker than that. I sent mine to Blackstone for analysis. Came back with signs of ware, but we'll see what happens when I do it again next year at 100k.
  20. Re-gear to 4:70’s completed - First Impressions

Swapping Super Duty axles and 40's on my other rigs sounds more fun.
