I bought a LED strip that goes under the tailgate and is separated from the rest of the factory system. Just has a harness that has a trailer plug under the front bumper.
I replaced the Transmission earlier this year, and before doing this I put the truck back to stock, so the transmission could relearn everything. My question is now I want to put the ProCal back in, but it still retains the old programming pulled from the old trans. Will it pick up the old...
You don't need to pull the whole headliner. You can just bend it back enough to pop the clip holding the wire to the inside of the cab. Then you can pull the wire down to access and plug it in or disconnect. Then just shove the wires back up later behind the headliner. Easy access after that.

Part of this is PTSD. Once you have been through the transmission loss, you become very conscious of every move you make, and every shift that is the slightest different. I lost mine at 90k, or at least pulled it before it threw any codes, but was starting to shift hard, and even got stuck in...
I had both the shift boot and the parking brake boot crack and split. Ford fixed the under warranty. Brake boot has again cracked and started to split. I'll definitely have to plan on getting one of these.
Not sure if this was covered in here...but are the 5G and 6G cabs the same? Wondering if the rear window is the same.... some will know where I'm going with this..:sunglasses:
