I purchased the black locking lugs from Panda. I didn't save the box, but it said right on it that they are guaranteed to never chip or fade. They look good and no issues with the paint on them.

takes very little oil to get the job done. Dip your finger in the oil and rub on the piston, call it good. The manual says to make sure it moves in and out freely, job done. No grease, stay with oil, I used royal purple 5w 30. Haven't seen anything about flutter.

it was an easy install, thanks to the posts here. The only thing I forgot was to put a little oil it, so I had to take it back off to do that. Response improves for sure.

I installed mine a couple months ago and I like them. They are very helpful at night, especially with the bed cover closed.

Install was easy with the great pics and suggestions from others like Anthony (post #33), Josh, and of course many thanks to RCMUSTANG!!! My only goof was I was in a hurry when I ran into Autozone and grabbed the wrong tap a fuse size. Be sure you get Micro 2 size. I really like this mod!

Well they pushed back the release date twice, no idea when carid will really have this tailgate assist. Hell, isn't just a hood shock modified? Any word about Panda Motorsports having one?

My hood needs adjustment too. I noticed that the front of the hood does not align with the grill. The driver side either needs to be pulled back towards the windshield or the passenger side needs to be pushed out towards the grill. I'm taking mine back to Ford for this adjustment. Quality...

Cool - please let us know how it goes. I'm interested in knowing what the native resolution is. I'm sure it is not 1080p so for movies to look good, we'll likely need to convert the media to match the resolution of the screen.

Which dash cam did you go with? How did you mount it? j I want one, but I don't like visible wires and nothing mounted to my windshield.

Has anyone been able to play movies either from a usb stick or perhaps a connected phone? I have the Lariat with the tech package and upgraded audio system. So far I cannot find a way to play movies. I'm curious what the native resolution is for our screens. It looks like maybe 800p at best.

I think you're one of the first to say that here. Call yourself lucky :) Good there is a TSB, so I guess Ford did their part. Now the dealerships need to perform the fix instead of just slamming the seat back.

slamming it back like that cannot be good, and will likely cause other issues, like leaking back window. I stopped by the dealer a few days ago and spoke with the GM. i showed him this issue on both of his Rangers, and he was surprised that Ford had not done something about it. So the issue...

They look good, but I find them useless. I don't step on them to get in or out.
