This is were you have to make the choice of what you want. I know that if anything in my driveline blows up its on me and I am ok with that. If you can not afford to rebuild an engine/transmission or part of the driveline do not tune your vehicle.
Updated the findings at the start of the thread. With taking too long to do the miles and unable to control variables this test is a bust. My conclusion is fuel in oil happens on all engines. This one probably more than most. Higher temperatures are your friend in evaporating out the impurities...
What you are seeing is the engine boost is not maxed out in normal operation. The ECU is a torque based ECU so it adjusts boost to hit a certain torque.
Have the down pipe and full 3 inch back to the MBRP duals Got lots of drone. Added the MBRP 3 inch resonator and it helped enough For me but still have slight drone on Highway.
One of the reasons I went with them was that I already had an HP Tuners interface and had assigned a license to my truck. After going through the tables I did not want to spend the time to learn Ford EcoBoost ECU. The part I like is they tune for all features not a specific tune for what you...
No Ranger solution yet For flex fuel. What you will need is a flex fuel sensor, box to interpret and talk to the ECU, new ECU software. There are solutions out there for many cars but I doubt anyone is going spend the time/money to do it for the Ranger. There are solution to run EXX. Just you...
Most aircraft turbine engines that run on full synthetic oil have no oil change requirements. Oil consumption and filter changes are enough to keep the oil fresh enough to make it to engine overhaul. I am not saying that short drive/long drive changes the issue just on long drives you have a...
Got the 2nd 1k miles. took way to long. One issue is since it took a while one control that changed dramatically that I think had the biggest factor was OAT. The first 1k was done with cold OAT. This one probably the average OAT was over 90 deg. less in the catch can but that could be attributed...
Ok did just over 1k miles in S mode thought that would be a good start point. With the Oz tune shifting was 3k plus even on light throttle. On the highway I would lock into 8 to keep RPM’s around 2.5k. I live in Dallas so just under 50% of the time for highway miles. I did not have a good cup...
