Not ditching yet, mainly did this to try out. I wanted to see if these dynapro tires held rocks like ones on the tremor. And I really like gloss black wheels.
But I'm not really liking the look, sure don't like the smaller tire and prefer a more - offset wheel, Like what's factory on the...
Sometimes Me too, I've always liked the lieometers fuel mileage on just about every thing I've had that has the feature. I've had a couple ram cummins trucks that read really high, it was great, unfortunately on both I was being lied too.
It looks to me like even with the tremor wheels the tires would rub with a 265/75r16.
The tires that come on the tremor are very close with the 265/70r17.
I'd like to put on a 265/75r 17 or r18,
But if I do I'll definitely have to do something with the crash bars.
Thanks for everyones opinions.
I'm sure most wouldn't worry about the way it is now, not a huge deal, I could live with it. But it's not right and I can't help but want it right. After all it is a very expensive truck and it's brand new, has right at 1000 miles on it.
I'm leaning towards...
Got a defect with my passenger side front door.
Ford has sent a complete door for replacement. All great, I'm thinking. But then I find out it's not painted and that the dealer will have to paint the door plus paint some of the back door and front fender so they can blend in the new paint as it...
I'm thinking so but not exactly for sure what I'm going to do. At this point I feel the black wheels need a bigger tire, or if I go back to the other ones I would get about the same size tire and put something more similar to the habkook Dynapro that doesn't grab so many rocks. Just not sure...
I'm right with you there. Usually these lie-o-meters are pretty close in stock form. But not on these rangers, well mine and yours anyways. Most my driving is 70 mph highway 18 to 19.5 seem to be my average so far.
With the tire and wheel swap I seem to be getting about 2.5 mlg better right...
So I was able to pick up a factory set of wheels and tires from a different model Ranger for about six hundred bucks nearly brand new.
My main reason for wanting more of a Road tire setup was due to the fact that I live on a gravel road and the stock Tremor tires collect way too much Rock...
With my mix driving, I'm getting right at 19 more or less. But don't even have 1000 miles on it yet.
And here in Southern Idaho it's been very windy, and wind really screws up mpgs.
Just bought another set of factory take offs there more of a road Tire. We'll see if that improves mileage any...
Great point, I think your exactly right.
The tremor would have lost its tow ratings and or ride quality leveling the truck from factory.
But I myself, For what I intend to use the truck for I would have been OK with losing towing capacity to have a leveled truck or at least close to level...
