Old school stuff was actually off when keyed off, new vehicles not so much. All the modules and tech draw a small amount. But I would think it should be able to sit 2 weeks provided the batt was fully charged.
Since it seems like you don't drive for extended periods, I would suggest a...
I use what's readily available, synthetic, and the correct weight. Mobil 1 usually fits that bill. Vehicles are junk by 150-200k anyway, mainly due to rust where I am. Hell, dino oil will get you that far.
...Just me being realistic.
My used 200k mile beaters ive had Id just run the cheap...
I would assume trailer charge is regulated the same way it charges the truck battery or at least controlled by the trailer module. So a separate battery charge controller would be pointless.
But we all know what happens when you assume. :p
To the OP:
It should operate how you would expect once...
Shouldn't be 12.15 after only 20 hrs. Mine sat for a full week outside at 20 degrees over thanksgiving and I never got that message.
Even 12.4v is what I would consider "low". At 12.15v I would say it needs charging.
Resting fully charged should be 12.8 or so.
That said I don't know when that...
Couple things:
I need this. Did it plug straight in for the map lights and then the garage opener is a seperate plug? or? Please elaborate
If I recall on other vehicles the garage opener is powered 24/7 so that you can hit the button anytime and open the garage door. Will programming reset...
Start truck, plug in trailer then put in gear like your driving off and the dash should light up like a christmas tree with all kinds of trailer messages.
Then check with voltmeter and you should be good, assuming proper batt/wiring on the trailer side.
A lot of electronics and modules in these things that make all kinds of racket right when keyed on or off. I say normal. I would ignore it.
Buzzing is normal. No fix. Its the high pressure DI components.
As for coolant leak, doesn't sound too bad. I say keep an eye on it, its probably fine...
Went through this on mine, trying to charge low camper batt at the campground. Went through fuses and everything, all a pain to get to. Turns out it was operating as intended.
The truck will NOT send 12v (charge/camper batt power ect) until it recognizes that a trailer is connected and pops up...
Should be under the federal emissions warranty which is 8ys/80,000. Was just looking at it.
A lot of stuff covered under that warranty, supposedly even the turbo it says.
Sounds like you got one comin though, $20 isn't bad. Sensor 1 which is a wideband on these is about $100. Surprised the...
Fuel dilution doesn't come from blowby directly, it would be coming from the injectors in that scenario. :)
Either way, you would have to have serious blow by to cause the fuel dilution you are seeing. And blow by that bad would be very noticeable and the engine would run like complete...
@Manny R
Typically, If there is a light there is a code because the code causes the light. No code = No light. But No light does NOT equal no code.
Whether or not the code was stored is a different story, so what I said is kind of irrelevant.
Either way code would have probably said something...
Only thing I bring mine vehicles in for is tires.
And I guess warranty because free parts. Wish they could just give me the new part and I return the warrantied one but can't have everything I guess.
Had my hellcat supercharger warrantied (about $7k) because of loud bearing noise which is...
