Check the color of the fluid. Mine did that too, it was black, then it went pop. But if I checked the fluid I feel like I could have saved it. It was so thin and worn out its not funny. Once of prevention and all that
Hard to get a decent look at the back of the valves. Probably need to go through the TB or another port on the intake manifold to get a good look. Could check for head gasket issues in the spark plug hole tho, really stop your self from sleeping at night.
Correct me if I am wrong but isnāt the thermal bypass on our transmission mounted inside, possibly the valve body? I know the 1/2 tons and up are or were externally mounted so removing them was easy.
He hasnt been on because all the carbon and fuel dilution costs so much money to repair he canāt afford internet anymore.
Dont do sprays the crap can get into your turbo and cats. The hot side of the compressor is very robust and would probably be fine, but the catalyst material is not so...
Mountain bike shocks at 300 psi are like rocks. But then again im not a 4500lb truck pushing down on it. Its a novel idea either way. Way to make a QD end link overly complicated
All that rust repair, should have just tube framed it lol. Im starting to look into more modern 2.3 5 sp rangers for my son. Definitely going south of the mason dixon. If its nice enough he might get my 5g instead with 200k on it lol.

Outside of what I need but wow. Fancy looking
This all day if you are physically able to. Every time I change someoneās oil that was done at a quick lube place or we get a used vehicle, the first drain takes 30 min. All subsequent changes drain in 2 or 3 tops. Just says something about the mystery barrel of crude they pump in there...
I tune can help a bit too. Give a little more oomph so less lugging. Tune made the biggest difference for me and I probably have 100k on a SCT canned 87 performance tune. Its like a sports + mode.
You should have a better trans considering its a 23. DPFE sensor is cheap maintenance that could fix some shudders. Do plugs for the heck of it, mine get done every 30k. Lubricant the splines on the driveshaft with ford blue PTFE goo. That stops some clunky nonsense too. That seems to be a...
The studs and bolts are not terribly hard to keep in the right holes. All the studs hold something else. I did have to swap one out because I messed up but it was before torque.
Adding a trans dipstick is a must for checking fluid levels too. Factory one is a joke, even Ford techs hate it
All this nonsense in the diagram makes a 7 speed conversion seem like a pain. This looks worse than the smog pump nonsense on old 5.0s.
Good luck and I hope it works well. I would not be against loosing a few hundred feet of hoses under the truck.
It allows those sweet heel toe downshifts.
Really just amplifies the fact our truck was designed in another country and typically had a 3rd pedal. Instead of designing something new they just deleted the clutch and made the brake pedal larger.
