I've developed a hitch that will work with the acc bracket in the stock location. Those will be fitted on a few members trucks here next week. Once the fit up goes well, I'll make them for other members. It's quite the wild design to make this hitch work with the bracket in place and withstand...
I'm in the process of moving my machinery to my new house 9 hours away. All I have is my ranger and my enclosed trailer, so on the weekends I take a trip, drop off machines and to see my wife. This will go on for the next 2-3 weekends.
Last weekend trying to beat a couple storms, I had a 50mph...
I looked up a few of the tow bar direct mounts, it appears that the hitch will not fit if both are used unless you are using a style that mounts differently.
I apologize for the bad information in my previous post. I should have done more research.
Material is .25" thick.
I'm building them now. I sent some of you guys a pm.
Had to use mine last Monday to get me out of a ditch, nothing exciting just slid sideways almost stopped at a stop sign. Hooked up to a semi truck.
Having a winch that can pull from the rear of the truck is just as valuable. Especially in the snow belt. However, a winch on a portable mount is not that much fun to deploy compared to a permanently mounted winch. Just something to think about.
It takes about 30min. To install if it's your first time, I've got it down to less than 15. Every hitch comes with detailed written instructions with pictures. One od the easier hitches that ive ever installed, no funny buisness with fishing harware through the frame, etc. No acc is a bonus.
Not sure what vaporware is but I build these on the side from my other two legitimate jobs. I've ordered material, it takes about 6 weeks from ordering material to be dropping completed hitches off in the mail.
Unpainted, sure.
Hello all. Sorry for not being online for a few days, I spend a lot of time in the forest without cell reception. I am currently sold out and I may make another batch of a couple dozen here in November.
hmott,
Absolutely, I can make an offset hitch. I have material now to produce another batch and they're not welded up yet, so I'm thinking 3-4 weeks delivery at this point for a different design. PM me and we can go from there.
I TIG welded in a frame to hold the weight where the 80/20 bolts through the topper. All the load from the roof bars go straight to the bed rails. The aluminum tubing is 1" square .09" wall. It doesnt look like much other than added tubing where it needs to be.
I just run a stubby antenna...
I'm in northern Illinois, no not always sunny. I painted the sides but the top between the rails that go lengthwise is still white. I do camp in it, I camp out of it maybe 10 nights a year. Most of that is in northern minnesota in the dead of winter reaching -40 degrees for a low without...
