  1. Good bye Friends....

Saw a Ridgeline with a cap on it today and I gotta say it looked pretty tough. Still not ready to trade my actual Ford TRUCK for one, but I sure can understand the temptation. It looks so comfy. Like a granny slipper.
  2. Good bye Friends....

They don't have enough money to buy my Ford TRUCK and put me in one of those sawed off Pilot/Subaru Brat wannabes. And wearing a bag on my head so that none of my friends see me driving a Ridgeline would make it difficult to drive, but I digress... ?
  3. Good bye Friends....

They say it looks like a "granny slipper", so it's gotta be comfy!! ? I gotta say that they are butt ugly. The comments on those things are pretty comical. ?
  4. Good bye Friends....

    Your turn Ronbo. ?
  5. Good bye Friends....

Yo Ronbo! I see your meme, and raise you another meme. ?
  6. Good bye Friends....

Everybody likes what they like and that's cool. I just always remind people that a Honda Ridgeline is a cut up Pilot without a full frame or Real 4WD capability. That's why it rides like a car. I could have bought a Ridgeline with the Honda family discount, but for my needs I wanted an actual...
  7. Good bye Friends....

That was an '89 with a 4 Banger and a 5 speed and she did fine. That was over a yard of pretty moist topsoil which is a heavy ton. 60 psi in the rear tires. ? That was the first load of 2. The Ranger is a TRUCK, not some unibody vehicle with a bed. Built Ford Tough. ????
  8. Good bye Friends....

Yep. The El Camino had a full frame, but not a bed separate from the cab. So although it wasn't a truck, it was still more of a truck than a Honda Ridgeline IMHO. ??? The Ridgeline/Pilot is a nice little grocery getter. My financeè has a Pilot. You're not going to haul a ton of topsoil or tow a...
  9. Good bye Friends....

"Was looking at the RDX and RX350 but I need a pick up. The Ridgeline RTL-E leased for $417 a month..." Looks to me like the Ridgeline was referred to as "a pick up", which means pick up TRUCK. And I am simply stating that a Ridgeline is no pick up truck. It is a car/suv unibody thing with a...
  10. Good bye Friends....

Trucks have a full frame and the bed is separate from the cab. The Honda Ridgeline is not a truck. If it fills your needs that's cool, but it's no truck. And let's not even get into the 4WD vs FWD with rear assist (AWD) comparison. Built Ford Tough. ????
  11. Lets see those Cab window decals!!

Got it at https://www.redbubble.com/i/sticker/TAX-THE-RICH-by-thomasesmith/20736295.EJUG5 Also got an "Eat the Rich" sticker, but I thought that was a little harsh. ? Saved that one for the tool box.
  12. Lets see those Cab window decals!!

There are more, but some of them I'll keep to myself. At least until after November 3rd. LOL And I moved the Ford ToughBed sticker where it belongs. Onto the bed.
  13. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Hey myothercarizahearse, Was it this one? lol I took this pic in April 2019 at AutoNation in NE Ohio. That's the truck I ordered in the back but Ford sent one to the dealership that was almost identical, so I snatched it up instead of waiting. Had to get a pic of them together when it came in...
  14. Soft Brakes Anyone?

I think a "second pump" is only wasting valuable time in stopping the truck. Just press on the pedal. If you want to stop faster, then press harder. These trucks have great brakes. Also "pumping" the brakes defeats the ABS system if you really do need to stop quickly.
  15. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Now that is a unique pic. Very cool. Norway wins!! ?????
  16. What are you guys towing?

Just towed a Buick LeSabre with a towing dolly for 160 miles. About 4,400 lbs combined. Plenty of power, but I wouldn't tow anything heavier without having trailer brakes. The trans downshifting on its own to assist in braking works great. This is a great truck. My 5th Ranger.
  17. Long range fuel tank

Mostly freeway & Ohio Turnpike while towing @ 62 MPH. Not towing on return home took 2 lane highways and Rt 90 @ 55 to 70 MPH. Computer says 22.2 MPG after driving 27k miles the last year and a half. I'm happy with that.
  18. Long range fuel tank

I just towed about 4,400 lbs 160 miles. Dropped off the car and the tow dolly. Putzed around town a little with the Grandkids. Then drove the 160 miles back home. Still have an 1/8 tank of fuel. Never re-filled the tank on the Ranger, but I had to drain the coffee from me a few times along the...
  19. Soft Brakes Anyone?

LOL. Probably should have pushed that button too. Put in all the parameters for "trailer" size, etc. These trucks like doing work. The 10 speed tranny & the turbo make for a nice towing set-up.
  20. Soft Brakes Anyone?

I just towed a Buick LeSabre for 4 hours across the State of Ohio yesterday with a towing dolly. These trucks have stout brakes and the transmission braking works well. Used Sport Mode and didn't go over 62 MPH. No trailer brakes on the dolly. This truck is a mid-size beast.
