I rented the dual axle U-HAUL trailer and filled it to the roof. Pulled it across the State of Ohio in the worst snowstorm we had last Winter. Cruise control on, 4wd, no problems... and the surge control breaks on the U-HAUL worked perfectly.
I pulled a 1998 Buick LeSabre across most of Ohio with a U-Haul tow dolly. NO trailer breaks whatsoever. It pulled just dandy, but 4,500 lbs extra behind you with no breaking help is pushing the limit. ?
Push the button on the console to disable the sensors when conditions won't allow them to work properly. Same thing if you drive it through a car wash.
I had to get the matching Weber Kettle. Mobile BBQ Ford Style. This should be under the "Hauling Things" thread, but it went with the Rick's bike pic so shoot me... LOL
I towed a 1998 Buick LeSabre with a U-Haul tow dolly across most of Ohio. Combined weight was 4,300+ lbs with no trailer brakes. These trucks have awesome brakes. Just push on the pedal. Try it, you'll like it.
If you need a TRUCK stick with the Ford. If a unibody SUV thingy with a bed on the back suits your needs, then that ugly ass PilotLine is the way to go. And then there's the 4WD vs AWD comparison, which is no comparison. ?
