  1. SYNC 3 UPDATES 2025?

My 2023 is still under the 3-36 warranty, and it says I have to pay $109 for it also, so it must be some other way of figuring when the free updates expire than just the 3-year warranty. I'll just stick with the maps I updated last year.
  2. BMS Battery Setting

I thought about that, but I don't want to make a change that could affect my extended warranty. I went 2 years with my battery's state of health reading 100%; then last fall it had dropped to 80%, both the dealership's reading and my meter reading. I added the Battery Minder desulfator and...
  3. BMS Battery Setting

In other words, don't make the change until you actually change the battery right?
  4. BMS Battery Setting

So what would happen if you left the SOC at 75 and changed the battery from an H6 to an H7 and still left the H6 battery in the truck?
  5. BMS Battery Setting

When it comes time to replace the battery in my truck, the plan is to replace the H6 with an H7. I know there is a setting in Forscan for battery type and size. What does the charging system do differently between an H6 AGM and an H7 AGM battery?
  6. Cleaning ranger engine bay the proper way

Every so often with an air hose to blow out loose dust and dirt helps. Just keep the pressure on the low side.
  7. Pre collision not available.

These systems are complicated; some problems can cause other parts of the system to mess up. When mine did the same thing, the buttons on the left side of my steering column quit working also. The unexpected fix was an ABS brake bleed and then resetting the ABS module.
  8. Maximizing Battery Life

I have 4 different voltmeters plus what the dash says in engineering mode, and only one matches the dash reading exactly most of the time. Otherwise, they all read a few hundredths differently. The only way to judge true voltage differences is to use the same meter in all spots. The dash reading...
  9. Ford Recalls 4,4 MILLION Vehicles With ITRM

I was going to ask the same thing: how many 2024s were made before my 2023 was built in June of 2023.
  10. Maximizing Battery Life

The change you made is likely the reason it is in as good of condition as it is. I have also added the Batteryminder obd-12 to my setup as I think that's what is the biggest thing missing in Fords charge pattern.
  11. Maximizing Battery Life

Although our Rangers are set at 70% to 75% SOC, all the other Fords and newer models seem to all be set at 80%. Is Ford actually trying to mimic the charging pattern of a smart charger which has a high charge for the bulk phase and tapers down at about 80% to a low current absorption phase so it...
  12. Maximizing Battery Life

That's a more realistic result. Your truck will draw a lot of current and show a lower voltage when you first open the door, pull the hood latch and open the hood, letting it sit for a while so most of those systems can go back to sleep gives you a more real SOC reading. Airline Tech and TJC...
  13. Maximizing Battery Life

It looks like you tested the battery with the vehicle drawing current like it would be after opening the door and popping the hood. Let it sit awhile and go back to close to a sleeping mode after popping the hood to get a true battery reading. I doubt it's actually sitting at a 25% charge.
  14. Battery saver 2nd battery

The question is, how far back in model years do you have to go back to find that vehicle?
  15. Maximizing Battery Life

When you run the Noco repair option on your battery, are you disconnecting the battery?
  16. ?

It just seamed like a strange out of left field thread to me, The one thing I will say is the picture he posted of that Tremor is one fine looking truck.
  17. ?

You must use a different user name in the other forums as a search didn't find this user name in them. So who asked you to compare them?
  18. ?

The problem is the Santa Cruz isn't really a mid-size truck, it's in the same vein as a Maverick. It should ride better as it has a small SUV front-wheel drive based drive train and suspension. It's not made to face the same obstacles of a real truck, it's more like a small front wheel or AWD...
  19. ?

The Santa Cruz looks like it would be more comparable to a Maverick than a Ranger to me.
