I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in here because I see several posts about adding octane boosters. You don't want to add any octane booster to your fuel that uses methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl, also called MMT. This is pretty much all of the off the shelf octane boosters. The...
I have a 2020 Ranger. Sometimes I plug a wireless phone charger to the AC outlet and it works fine. I rented a 2022 Ranger and tried to use the AC outlet with the wireless phone charger; the phone would start to charge, then stop. Basically it wouldn't work. So they have probably changed the...
Try it again, but with your key fob far away. It sounds like your truck is sensing that you are near and it is priming the fuel system, getting ready for a start. Mine makes a similar noise just before I use the remote start.
So, as you can see below, Granger Ford does not have any Rangers in stock. The only one on their website is one that is "Dealer Ordered." which means that if you buy it, you can expect it in February or March, that is if it hasn't already been purchased. If it makes it to their lot unsold, they...
Yes. I purchased my Ranger in April 2020 and I agreed to buy one that was at their "other" dealership about 100 miles away. They brought it down and the "other" dealership had installed tinted windows and bedliner, but I had already agreed to a price and would walk-away if they tried to charge...
They shopped more than a dozen dealerships. I went with them to about half. The other options are to order and wait, which they were not in a position to do, or purchase one that is "in transit" which would be about a three month wait, and then some of the dealers would still "add" their stuff.
My elderly parents just when through the car buying process to purchase an SUV. Dealers that have SUVs in stock do not charge markup prices. Instead they charge MSRP + $499 window tint + $1995 ceramic coating + $250 floor mats + $500 roof rack, on and on...
You cannot refuse any of the dealer...
If you go with 70's, you will probably have to make other modifications to accommodate them. 65's should fit without problems and will perform great, but might not have the look you want.
Rides as well as stock (better in my case since I replaced LT rated tires). I have Bilstein shocks in front and back, and I would definitely recommend them in the back. If you want to level the stance, then get them for the front. They are really only a tiny bit larger diameter than the stock...
My 2020 FX4 came with the Hankook ATM LT265/65R17 tires which were load range C. They weighed 45 lbs each. It really made the truck ride rough and my wife and daughter were whining about it. So I secretly replaced the tires with Hankook AT2 265/70R17 tires which are standard load. They weigh 39...
When you connect your battery tender, the negative wire (black) needs to be connected to the vehicle ground, not the negative post on the battery, otherwise you are bypassing the Battery Monitoring Sensor. Stupid high-tech Ford!
It depends on what wavelength your antenna is. 1/2 wave dipole antenna does not require a ground plane. Do you happen to know the specifications of your antenna?
That looks really cool. A few things:
It does require a GMRS license (easy to get, no testing)
It is using a duplexer that needs to be tuned for the frequency pair you choose. This would mean a trip to a radio shop or know someone with the equipment and knowledge required to tune the cans...
