Yeah - last year was amazing for me as a SHOT virgin. This year...

There is a lot of pressure on me from my employer to make SHOT Show a huge deal on our socials. I'm afraid they're expecting perfect, when in reality, I'm going to be a dude walking around SHOT with my cell phone capturing...
Damn! Time flies!
On Monday morning, I leave South Florida for Vegas, and by late Monday afternoon, I will be on the floor of the SHOT Show. I'm covering SHOT on social media for my company, and I was wondering if it would be okay to share the links with you guys here, or would that be as if I...
I used to drive the trails in Talladega - absolutely beautiful. But, if there was ever an argument about carrying a gun when camping, this is it!

The sad story then grows even more concerning with this...
It was first gen. We had to custom order those with the shortest barrel but the longest handguard. The Sig folks really got to head-scratching over that, even though it was evident what we were doing with them as we ordered the cans from Sig at the same time.
They functioned very reliably...
One of the things I miss about my old job was having access to a bunker full of ammo and fun guns! Oh, and the Lenco Bearcat armored truck was fun, too. ? Damn, I wish my videos of the full auto fun would upload!
Let's see if this works... (This is a SIG MPX that we replaced the SWAT MP5's...
Yeah, it was not good. But when we got it back, we put an ol' skool fixed stock on it and an old Surefire tac-light foregrip, and it was mid-90s retro cool!
My latest little gun restoration project is done! This is an old German, Herbert & Schmidt EIG E15 .22LR single action. It was a bit of a chore getting it to work - it was missing some internal parts. Getting the timing right with old, cast-off pieces was a process!
When I was with the training unit at my Sheriff's Office, we started transitioning everyone from .40 to 9mm. That meant having two pistol calibers on the range at the same time. ?‍♂️
We would tell the class, and I am directly quoting here, " We have two different types of ammo out here. We...
I was looking to see if I could find a .300 BLK "upper" for a handi-rifle "lower" yesterday. Damn, if those are almost nonexistent too! What I really wish I could find is a .45ACP handi rifle barrel!
Just to show you how close they are in physical size:
But .454 Casull is loaded to well over twice the pressure of a standard .45LC. I found this funny ass quote in a forum:
I think I saw SAMI spec on .45LC is 15,000 psi. The gun I was shooting was a relatively (at the time) cheapy Uberti...
I got very lucky once shooting .45 Long Colt from a revolver about 15 or so years ago...
As I was shooting through the cylinder of ammo that I had loaded, the cylinder had a little drag as it rotated to the next chamber, and in general, it felt a little off. I am sooooooooo damn lucky I didn't...
I went to hook up the rear camera for my new dash cam in the back window of my truck, and I discovered that the rear defroster connection for the wire had failed at some point. It looks like solder joints and that they just fell off! I'll try to remember to snag some photos.
I've had a set of new Motorcraft windshield wipers in my garage for about a year and a half. I bought them because my wipers were "UGHHHHHHH." But of course, I never installed them. So I finally did that, and it's amazing how a new set of wipers just works so much better than a 4-year-old...
You shouldn't have any warranty issues unless something happens to something directly tied to the bumper. For instance your forward facing parking sensors. They might say that relocating them into the bumper damaged them.
Well, one of my biggest Aussie bucket list items is to camp near the beach on Fraser/K'Gari Island! That's in Queensland, no?
My one trip to Australia thus far, I was mostly confined to Sydney on the 100th Anniversary of Anzac. I was there with my wife, who had a business trip, and she...
