To add to the mystery...mine even sort of changes sound when I go over speed bumps. It gets louder and softer. Like I said, to me it sounds like a loose piece of metal that vibrates and makes noise. If it is just the D.I. I am hearing, I don't think it would change like that.
Nicely done! Where did you get the USB ports that you used?
I had considered doing something similar before I decided to add a wireless charger in the front lower tray instead. You get power only from those rear ports, correct? (meaning you cannot use them to connect Android Auto)
I have the same. When I am outside of the truck, I can hear it coming from the engine but when I am INSIDE, it it more muted and sounds more like a heat shield rattling. As I am driving, if I let me foot off the gas it can disappear completely and when I hit the gas a little again, it buzzes...
@Grumpy Old Guys Ranger , when was yours built? Did the TSB truly apply (date-wise), or was your build date after the TSB range but you convinced the dealer to do it anyway?
@19SilverRanger , I have exact same behavior. If I let it warm a little, it's is not as bad (however still there) but if I start and then back up immediately, it shudders badly...almost like it is trying to stall. My build date is also in mid-April.
I have the same issues with choppy acceleration and rough braking. I have been considering a tune to smooth it out. I'm not sure what else to do about it...
@RCMUSTANG , Let me know when you need money and I'll send it over straight away. I'll send the entire amount up front this time to make accounting a little easier. Thanks for doing this for us again!
Hi guys,
I am having an airflow issue in my Ranger and I want to see if anybody else has the same issue.
(1) When I select the icon that sends air to regular vents, I get good airflow out of the main vents (see photo #1).
(2) When i select the icon that sends air to my feet only, I get air...
Thanks @Fordguy , much appreciated! I've looked all over for this info.
By the way, if you are ever in the market to do something different with the website for your auto group, drop me a PM. We design, host, and manage websites for dealerships. We are different from the giants in that space...
I agree...it seems like the start/stop is really quick on the trigger. You can disable start/stop with Forscan or with the Auto start/stop eliminator. I use the latter. I seriously hated the start/stop feature.
After using mine for a while, I have decided that I need additional tie-downs. I think the placement of the factory tie-downs is a bit goofy. I'd like the new ones to match what I already have there but I can't find them. Anybody know where they are available?
I get something different when I stop. It feels like I am running over small bumps and then just as I come to a stop, it feels like the amount of braking changes...almost like I hit ice..it feels like it gets smoother and accelerates slightly and then stops. It's strange. I don't think it...
I want to echo what Redland said. I ordered my Ranger without ever driving one....heck, without even SEEING one in person. I could not be happier with my decision. Yes, there are a few things I would change if I could but overall, the Ranger is an amazing truck that I would choose again and...
