Yes. I removed the screw and catch and shimmed it out with washers. I added one at a time until it would latch.

I didn't mess with the TSB. I just installed a couple of washers behind the latch catch and now it latches fine .

Mine was doing ALL of that. I could handle all of it except the jumpy, jittery feel it would give when cruising around town. It almost had the feel of the engine stuttering. I took it in and the dealer acknowledge that it was not right. He said he though the "stutter" issue was the overdrive...

For me, the problem with tapping in to the existing power is that it turns off with the ignition. I wanted my bed lights to be available when the truck is turned off. My solution was to run a hot wire back from the battery (with an inline fuse). I was able to run it almost the entire way...

Is it possible that you bumped the dial and put it intro 4H by mistake? I had this happen once and it took me 3 or 4 starts and stops to figure out what was going on.

Mine squeaks like crazy too. I've just learned to live with it. I would certainly welcome a solution though. :)
