    I don’t even know if I should say this but I had checked my fluid level at the correct operating temp and it was the correct level from the factory 4-5. When cold (45F) it was at 3. Not saying anyone else’s is the same as mine but just a data point .

    Welding gloves worked for me - make sure it’s also ACTUALLY at the correct temp. It’s hard to get above 207F for me unless I try to get there

    The aluminum on this pan is pretty thick, you could still probably crack it on the right rock tho. we have lots of rock slides on the mountain road to work so maybe I’ll find out sooner then later how it holds up to a rock/boulder

    Once the stock pan was off, I was surprised that it was thinner then I even expected it would be.
