You would think and engineer would appreciate the benefits of an aluminum pan, with cooling fins, that holds extra fluid capacity and has a drain plug.
Its a nice pan with extra fluid capacity and a drain plug, its worth it to me. I think time has shown (the F-150 board) that the fluid does not last 100k and it should be changed much sooner. There are many cases in the last 20 years that show these "lifetime fluids" are pretty far from that...
At 22k with a Roush tune, I have noticed since I went from the OEM sport wheel 17" tires to the Goodyear Ultraterrains 265/70/17, the transmission shift points in "D" seem pretty aweful and the transmission gets easily confused. Around 50mph, it will go from 9th gear to 10th, almost everytime...
Just put oil in your gas tank, so when it leaks down into the engine oil its already partially engine oil... so then its all good.
