I'm hearing too many different things about this? You CAN install it yourself, but it voids the warranty or Ford/as ASE Certified Mechanic has to do it to keep both warranties or you can do it yourself and it does not void the warranty?

I. myself, would rather do as much in my garage as possible and avoid ever going to the dealer for anything!

Just say it was done at the dealer, then it’s on them to disprove it .

See, I would think they would need the proof (receipt) where it was done at the dealer, but that's just me... I'd be happy with the 36k mile warranty from the tune, as I'm pretty sure my truck will hit the age limit, before the mile limit

I see what you are saying, I just think this specific requirement is a bit overthought. I used to do inspections for Ford ESP, these details never held much weight in their decision making in comparison to looking for signs of abuse (shredded tires in the wheel wells, roll cages, no service records at all, etc..) I think the fact that its Roush and a warrantiable tune, I dont see why they would dig into where the tune was intalled because it doesnt really matter. Just my opinion. Yelling and screaming helps too..
