So far I have checked heat after running system for 30 mins to an hour and not heat issues. Both amps self cooling fans seem pretty solid but I will continue to check and update here. The processor ties into the rear of the OEM head unit and isn’t pulling a signal from speakers unless I am...
Haha yea I think Pruitt is the right guy, just takes time to un-F the Dooley-Butch years...
Thanks for compliments on truck, I hear ya on the shade of Orange. I will be honest I am not 100% thrilled with the shade I have on it but with the aerosol plasti dip there are only so many options (I...
I also found the patience to sort out how to significantly upgrade audio/bass inside the cab. Built a custom enclosure for a 6.5” 700W Memphis Mojo sub and then got a Memphis processor, mono amp (for sub), and a Memphis 4-channel for stock speakers/tweeters. All built into the under area of...
Well I finally found some time to get a few more things completed towards getting my Ranger looking as I envisioned. I was originally planning to by matte black 17s to replace stock 18s and then upgrade tires but decided to spend the $1,000 on a Borla exhaust instead. So for the interim I...
So a bunch of us have been trying to sort out how to get a sub and upgrade sound in our Rangers given limited capacity under and behind rear seat. I think I found a pretty good solution.
I built a custom sub enclosure for under the passenger side rear seat that allows for a 700W Memphis 6.5”...
I live in Northern Cali and its far from “very dry”. If your having issues with being able to adequately wash it then your applying incorrectly. I have power washed several times and seen no indication of deterioration or peeling. Further you can buy a very cheap post wash spray that you apply...
Yea not at all worried about that. I can always peel the plasti dip off the piece of trim that got scratched and re-apply. At under ten bucks a can and a few hours work I am just fine with that.
Agreed, I was actually going to buy some matte black 17’s and go that route but decided to spend that money on the exhaust so wanted something to make me hate the rims less and I actually love them now! The rears are already blacked out (picture is before rims were dipped) and agree markers need...
Generally no this won’t be an off-roading vehicle and if I do take it, it wouldn’t be on this rim/tire combo. But if your implying this because the rims are dipped I would say in my experience plasti dip when fully cured can handle quite a bit of punishment and there are plenty of people who go...
As some of you have probably seen in the DIY forum as well as some of my replies in this section, I am big fan of plasti dip and have been working my way around my ranger blacking out all the trim, bumpers, valence, gills, and NOW my 18” rims! Pretty happy to finally have it all completed and...
I can confirm after initially telling everyone NOT to plasti-dip the sensors when plasti-dipping bumpers/valence but having now tested it they can be painted no problem and sensors continue to work exactly the same.
Yea I dont know... I honestly wasnt expecting to work but it seems to be working having tested for a few short trips... I will update once I get a few more trips in...
Anyone still looking for a solution, I found a new one that 1) looks like it belongs, 2) makes your car smell alright, and 3) is cheap... Glade cigarette lighter air freshener. Have tested it and it works...
Comes in a few different scents...
Thanks for posting, I was wondering if it would conflict with the running board... any chance you could post a video of it running so I/others could hear it?
Installed this mat in my XLT months ago and it’s holding up extremely well! Soft enough to through my golf bag on it and rugged enough for carpentry/landscaping projects or dump runs. Super easy install and highly recommend for those not wanting a full bed-lining.
