Sorry no! She does have a reason why she wants the Ranger instead of her Santa Fe. She is a plant enthusiast, and on more than one occasion I've had large plants (trees essentially) loaded in the back of the pickup to bring home. Can't do that in a Hyundai, lol.
By the way, I got to test drive a 2 door wildtrak with the top off. The MIC top was laying on the floor of the dealer so I got to inspect it up close. It seriously looks like the panel edges were cut with a jigsaw. They are not perfectly straight like a typical panel should be, and they were...
@AzScorpion thanks for the clarification. I think it's only a matter of time before another manufacturer steps up to the plate and creates a better MIC top and Ford goes with them.
Yes you are correct. Webasto sh*t the bed with the hard top production for the Bronco and has been fired by Ford. There's no telling how long people will have to wait if they ordered a hard top. That's why I went with the soft top on my order.
I realize that I'm probably a '22 but I'm holding out hope to possibly get it this year. In any case, the vehicles that I currently have are in good shape so if I have to wait it's not the end of the world. I certainly hope you won't have to wait as long as you are thinking.
I tried to avoid the "deadly order sins" as you put it on my build. I went with a base model 4-door with soft top, but I added the Sasquatch package. Fingers crossed that I get it before the end of the year.
So I decided to put in an order for a Bronco, and being that the price tag is pretty high I knew I would have to trade in one of my vehicles, and thought for sure I was going to be forced to trade in my Ranger, which I really didn't want to do. But, my wife decided that she would rather trade...
It's funny, while they were sitting on it both cables were fully taut, but without a large load one of them is loose. So maybe Ford designs it that way? One cable for light load and the second cable with slack only handles load over a certain weight.
So this weekend I was hanging out with some friends outside and my buddy asked me if I could lower the tailgate so that his wife could sit. So I did, and then one of my other buddies decides to also take a seat... but he's not a small guy. If I had to guess he is probably over 300 pounds...
Oh I didn't install it myself. There's a truck shop near me, they installed it for $400 including the kit and the alignment. I thought that was a great price.
Awesome, thanks for the info. I also just did the RC 2.5" leveling kit and I love the stance, just need bigger tires now. I will also look into that recalibration tool for the speedometer.
I've also got an STX with same wheels and I'm looking to put on 265/70R17's. I see that's what you did here, my question is, did you have to use spacers? Or was it just a simple tire install with no modifications necessary?
