  1. Loose tailgate cable

It's not a slotted connection so I don't see how it could be adjusted to make the cable tighter.
  2. Loose tailgate cable

So I was at the dealer on Monday to get the bed liner put in and the tow hitch. I showed them the issue with the tailgate cable and they stated that this is normal. They should me a couple of other Rangers and they were all the same. I guess it is a non issue? The weird thing is that nobody...
  3. Loose tailgate cable

Yes both clips are in place as they should be. I'm scheduled to go to the dealer monday morning so they can install the bed liner and the tow hitch, and they are supposed to perform the TSB to fix the rear seat latch as well. So while the proverbial hood is up, I will have them look at the...
  4. Loose tailgate cable

So I looked through the list of common issues and didn't see this posted. When I fold down the tailgate the passenger side cable is taught but the driver side cable is extremely loose. Probably over 1 inch of slack. Is there an adjustment that can be made to rectify this? Or do I just need...
  5. What is everyone paying for their 5th Gen Ranger?

Just bought mine last week, the sticker price was $30,660 but I also added a bedliner and the trailer tow package on top of that (So roughly $31,400). Negotiated it down to $28,500 before tax, trade-in and down payment are factored in. All in all I will be paying $290 a month. My trade in...
  6. Radio screen frozen

How do you do a master reset? The radio was back to normal when I turned the truck on again but it would be handy to know for the future if it happens again.
  7. Radio screen frozen

On my drive to work today I realized I couldn't change the radio station, or do anything with regards to the system. I thought when I got to work and shut down the truck it would shut itself off. Nope. Screen is still on even after getting out of the truck and locking it. Anybody know if...
  8. Ranger wins shootout review against Gladiator, Tacoma and Colorado

I've noticed the same thing when first starting my morning drive. The fan roars very loudly at low speeds, but this seems to go away after the car has been driven for a few minutes. Not sure what that is about, but it is a truck, so it's allowed to be loud sometimes.
  9. Tire inflation question

Thanks for the responses. Anyone know why the factory over inflates the tires? Seems like this could all be avoided by them actually filling the tires to the pressure that they are recommending, lol.
  10. Tire inflation question

I noticed the sticker in the door frame states that the recommended tire pressure is 35 psi. Well I set up my Fordpass yesterday and when I logged into it it's telling me the tires are at 48 psi?! I checked it manually and sure enough that's where they are set. I just bought the truck so I'm...
  11. New Members Introduce Yourself!

I'm sure you get a lot of posts like this, but I'm new to the forums and new to the Ranger family as well. Just got mine last Thursday. It's the first truck i've ever owned and i'm loving it so far. Initially I was thinking of getting the Tacoma, since that truck seems to be the most popular...
