  1. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Installed Tremor fender flares. They're pretty close to covering the tires, those are 265/70/17 on Icon Vector 6s (8.5 x 17, +25):
  2. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

    White Sands National park
  3. Ford performance grille vs ebay special

Same as @RangerFitz, I re-used the magnetic grill surround from the old grill. If you're using the FP grill as-is without reusing anything from your original grill, the fit is OEM snap-in and made very well.
  4. Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain - Is anyone running these?

I'm running a set of these in 265/70/17 SL and can confirm they love picking up rocks and flinging them once they're back on pavement. Balancing was pretty normal, nothing unusual there, but again, SL load. I can't really say what they've done to my mileage because I didn't have the stock...
  5. Competition: 2024 Trailhunter Tacoma Overlanding Model Announced

And they'd still be using the same brakes.
  6. Pics of 265/70/17 tire

Same Icon Vector 6 8.5 x 17 +25 offset wheels with Goodyear UltraTerrain ATs (@Discount Tire exclusive) in White Sands National Park this weekend:
  7. TJM Explorer front bumper

Is anyone running one of these bumpers or know anything about them? There's very little of anything TJM related in any forum threads, but this bumper looks solid. And based on the installation guide, it gets bonus points for handling parking sensors AND including an ACC relocation mounting...
  8. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

Update, a month late: @Discount Tire warrantied out all 4 tires and covered a new set at no charge, so many thanks to them. All of the vibration from before is now gone, it's like having new truck again.
  9. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

What you're saying describes *exactly* what happened to the tire: I found it completely, zero PSI flat after backing out of my garage when the dash TPMS alarms started yelling at me. I have no idea how long it might have been flat, I work from home and drive the truck once or twice a week. So...
  10. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

Tell me you didn't read the original post without telling me you didn't read the original post. The suspension in question is a Ford Performance Fox leveling kit, installed by a Ford dealership ('dealership B' in my tl;dr post.) Dealership A wouldn't perform any basic troubleshooting because...
  11. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

Spare is on a stock 17" steelie that came with the truck but with the same size of tire as the other 4 (265/70/17). I haven't tried that, mainly because it wouldn't be a like-for-like test, but it may be worth doing anyway.
  12. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

Yeah, that's what I wonder too. And it might be something a competent independent mechanic / offroad shop could tell me, assuming I can find one. Looking for an independent mechanic isn't something you normally would need to do for a truck with a year left on the regular 3/36,000 warranty.
  13. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

There were vibrations prior to the plug when the tires / wheels were new -- all related to incorrect tire balancing. The Discount Tire I purchased the wheels / tires from was kinda known for not being able to balance tires. The alternate discount tire store I use now fixed this for me and the...
  14. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

And this is exactly it. These two dealers can't even agree on alignment numbers I literally went directly from Dealer B who told me there was no vibration with a different set of tires on the truck (I didn't confirm, they did this without me riding with them) over to Dealer A, who showed...
  15. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

Yeah, finding a local mechanic / offroad shop to have a look is next. I've already got conflicting alignment data from both dealerships, I don't believe anything either of them say at this point. I at least need the alignment confirmed for whatever tires I end up with.
  16. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

I saw that thread after I got back from my CO road trip and that's why I went right back to Ford. And then the whole "we can't troubleshoot this Ford suspension that this other Ford dealership installed" BS started at the first dealership. And they were the ones that stated that they "found...
  17. Long Sunday read (something about tire vibration and Ford service and "franchises" sucking)

I'm not sure where to start with this. Long story short, I've been experiencing intermittent vibration at highway speeds (60+ mph), for about a year. Prior to this time, there was absolutely none, even at well above highway speeds (some toll roads here are 75+ mph, and I’ve driven enough above...
  18. Why The President Of Jeep ‘Feels Sorry’ For Ford

So did I. And it was great for the same reasons, the only thing I had left stock was the 4.0L engine and the roll bar padding. Oh, and the carpet. The trouble is that once you build a jeep for nothing but trail use, it begins to suck in new and intesting ways as a daily driver. And then one...
