I didn't try just bulbs in the Ranger. I had bulbs in my Forester XT and I liked them fine; but I'm loving the headlights. Seeing that cutoff line from the Luxx makes me happy :D. I love the look, way better than the halogen housings I had previously, and I've gotten used to the little start...

Those look great! Thanks for the photos, I would've though they would've gone farther out of the fender than that... might have to switch my thinking to +20 with flares or +35 without :D

Ideal is relative to each person, some folks want a lot of poke and others want flush. In my case I want flush and I have 1.5" extra on each side so I'm looking for a combo of rim / tire that pushes out close to 1.5" like a +30mm wheel + 285/70R17 goes out to 1.58" :)

Check out https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/ to try out different offsets. With stock size tires and rims (255/65R17) a 0 offset would push the tire out 2.17". If the flares are 1.5" additional width and you wanted the same look as stock but pushed out you'd be looking at something...

Yeah you can specify for them to be flat, but 15 degrees is the default. I liked the default look :) There's several configuration options (tilt, panels, tube material, etc.). It took some time to actually get them, but I'm pleased overall.

Some more photos now that it's day time. These have a slight (15 degree) angle to them and stay about 1/2" to 1" away from the pinch weld.

Not sure if it's the same issue, but from time to time my bluetooth will stop connecting. The phone and truck think it is but no audio. So I just switch to USB and it usually comes back next time I start the truck.

Yeah I'll be honest that I've been a bit confused on what is what with DRL. This picture was with the lights off but when I turn the lights to auto during the day I perceive a brightness difference between on during the day and actually on. I'll try to test it more tomorrow.

Here's the DRL on the Luxx. While I have the Luxx, I'm still interested in how the Pro with LEDs look. Wonder if the cutoff is the same which would be a cool option (and possibly better than the Luxx with the ability to change bulbs :D).
