Went and found a pile of spicy rocks that pegged out my meter.
Did get some neat uraninite pitchblende, some neat looking carnotite and a piece of petrified wood with Uranium secondaries in it.
When they actually got the transmission, 4 hours....The time they had my truck while they got a new transmission, 3½ weeks,=.
There is so little obstructing the transmission it doesnt take much to get it out/in.
Finally got her back, glad I didnt have to pay that bill.
Feels like it rides smoother, new trans is still learning itself though.
On a side note, my one automatic window doesnt work anymore... Ill have to address that later.
Still at the dealer. After they did the diag., they decided that it wasn't worth the trouble to pull the Transmission apart and see if it could be rebuilt and decided to just order a brand new one.
They are just waiting for the transmission to get there to pull the old one out and install the...
I spend quite a bit of time out in San Rafael Swells, and have hit my skid plates a fair amount of times. buy mostly just the front. I would be lying if I hadnt had that same though about the tcase plate. But I have yet to even scratch it.
However it is still on my list of things to replace...
I think:
3k-5k for oil is fine, 10k feels exessive.
30k for drive train components...might be a bit much...but with the environments I frequent I don't think it is overkill.
Going to do the diffs and transfer case when I get my truck back from the dealership. Luckily I wont have to worry about...
I was going to say, the Tremor package didnt come out until 2021 atleast in North America.
Having had both and doing some fair amount of offroading, the Tremor is night and day for a stock setup.
I literally went in, referenced the TSB and said it was having issues described by it.
Cost me nothing but having the dealership take my truck for a day and burning 15 miles worth of fuel to get a proper readout with their diagnostic tool.
Ive never had a Warranty diagnostic concern cost me...
I was just being unhelpful(attempt at humor) but it looks like a multipiece part that connects to part of the frame. That corner piece is metal and has some structure to it.. I am no expert though.
But in all seriousness I would wager $800-$900 if nothing needs replacing and it is just a paint...
Just heard back from the dealership. They did determine that my Ranger does in fact have issues discovered by the TSB guidelines. Now I am waiting to see if Ford is going to have them rebuild or replace.
