I'd have to try it, but I think I'd prefer the pinch variety. I've had bad trailer sway on I-70 and I-80 where I needed to be able to hit my trailer brakes in a near-emergency. I want that intuitive quick way to access the trailer breaks while not using the truck brakes to help stop the sway...
There seems to be some confusion here. I'm definitely a newbie to this and don't know how it works. Do dealer stock orders ship prior to OKTB, or is everything on hold?
Mine has never been trackable. I know it's a stock order and not retail, so I've wondered if that could have something to do with it. I got the window sticker when they were available and the dealer said it's still on schedule so I'm not that worried. Her birthday is only 9 days away!
^^^ What he said. My great-grandpa started a Ford dealership in the 40's and my grandpa and dad owned it until they sold it to my uncle some years ago so I literally grew up at a Ford dealership. It is amazing how few salespeople take the time to learn their vehicles. The good ones will know...
IDK about which trim levels on Rangers, but I know they do it on the F-150s. They found truck buyers overall wanted to hear engine noise when they step on the gas. It's kind of a dirty little secret that most people don't know about.
I suspect it will be on all trim levels.
There always seems to be clearance issues in the front end of trucks with chains, especially at full turn and with weight on the front shocks.
Hopefully they give us the option to put chains on the front in an emergency without tearing up brake lines, fenders, and sensors.
To the post above...
Per the Owner's Manual (pg 286) it states that tire chains can only be used on the rear axle (this is in the manual of most trucks nowadays). After seeing the truck, do you guys think it will be possible to use chains on the front tires if necessary?
While hunting in deep snow it is really...
Hmmm. A trusted friend of mine and owner of several large mechanics shops drives an F-150 Ecoboost because he says he sees them far less than other trucks. He had a new mechanic start there that was a Chevy guy and my friend told him to wait a few months and then they'd talk. The new mechanic...
It seems like the first truck is Saber and the second is Hot Pepper. Right?
The second truck has Hankook Dynapro with OWL. Is this a "P" rated tire or an "LT"? I couldn't tell from their website... most third-party sites called it a "P" tire.
The 17" OWL tires are included with the FX4 package...
j0shm1lls actually showed me the build date back in post 16 of this thread. He's pretty good at all this stuff. I didn't know it before then.
I just noticed there is a 1000 VIN jump between mine and the sticker posted in #43 but they're only a day apart. I wonder why?
My 4x4 sticker worked a few days ago but it doesn't work tonight (luckily I got a screen shot). No EPA rating though.
The 2wd's I tried weren't working either tonight.
Hopefully they're updating :please:
