  1. Terrain management upgrade?

They offer the fx4 package on every trim package. I’m sure it will work on an xl since you can get the base stripper package with the fx4 modes and trail control. That said idk if that means it comes with an xl cluster or not.
  2. Terrain management upgrade?

No definitive answer. I eventually lost interest and gave up. I’m sure someone smarter than me will eventually figure it out.
  3. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

You’d be able to see the screen on the p3 changing numbers. I’ve had a p3 installed since 2019 and it’s perfectly fine. However I do believe it could cause trouble should the brakes come on full force to avoid a crash. Someone said earlier that Ford should be providing the minimum hardware...
  4. Ford warns that Active Cruise Control can NOT be used with an aftermarket trailer brake controller

The easiest option is to cut into the wiring harness under the dash to supply the second module a brake signal. The best option is to take off all the panels and plug it into the rear stop light. Option 1 will take you 45 mins but you have to splice your main harness, option 2 will take you...

  6. Keep your stock lug nuts, but change the color w/o paint (or PlastiDip!)

I put 100K michigan salty/dirt road miles on my Focus ST (2013) and I have 43K miles on my Ford Ranger (2019) and the lug nuts still all look and work like new. I've not had any issues yet, so it's possible they solved the problem, and it's also possible we're just lucky.
  7. Keep your stock lug nuts, but change the color w/o paint (or PlastiDip!)

Shut it Phil with all your logic and reasoning. You're supposed to be retired, now git! .
  8. Rear axle leaking

The new Dana axles are SOOO good if you could just get them to stop making shitty parts for them.
  9. Shocking Ranger News!

Not shocking at all when they said it has been in the shop more than 40 days… that’s amateur hour for some of us…
  10. Rear axle leaking

Fwiw, the axle will get low enough where it won’t leak anymore so you have two options. go in and tell them it was leaking and if you have a good dealer they will fix it or fill it back up and drive it around until it leaks enough to be seen. Then do the above. mine leaked out and ruined my...
  11. FX4 Off Road Angles Display

Yes, it’s a feature of the fx4 package which is available across the entire line of rangers.
  12. What are you guys towing?

It’s there, trans temp will not be a problem. KB3G-7A095-AB
  13. Rear axle leaking

There will be tons of oil on the brake rotor shield and dripping down into the wheel from the diff side of the brake on the drivers side.(most common)
  14. Rear axle leaking

Mine took a long time to get parts and I’m in Detroit. The real issue is they just replaced a shaft and seal, but I’m still killing rear brakes fast 2 years later.
  15. What are you guys towing?

The heaviest f150 is 5697 lbs (curb weight) according to google. With the lightest being 4069 (which is probably without a bed)
  16. Rear axle leaking

Whole axle or just the shaft and seal?
  17. What are you guys towing?

I agree with this 100% coming from a Forrest river 207bh to a keystone passport 2920 gt. It’s pretty light at ~6000# loaded and bounces around just as much as the other one did. The biggest difference was going from a single axle to a double axle. It’s night and day stability wise. And of course...
  18. HAM Radio Intalled

160m is so noisy you can barely hear people 5 miles away. The only time I ever hear anyone on it is when they are one full wave bounce away which is like 2300 miles. That said ham gear is usually spectrally pure and it’s led everything and phone chargers that poop on the band without any...
  19. Ford paint

I bought a truck to be used like a truck... That said, my son bumped my door into a plastic side marker light on my camper the other day and it took a big chunk of paint off the door. Literally everything that touches the paint harder than a feather damages it. I can damage it with my...
  20. Tremor vs. FX4 build

Maybe they properly phased and balanced the driveshafts on the tremor? I’m in the ranger fx4 camp unless a full raptor or equivalent comes out. Spent last week at silver lake dunes and my fx4 on stock tires with fox 2.0’s set at fox factory height did perfectly fine. I could use some more travel...
