I did the abs bleed earlier in the week without opening the bleeders. I did see very micro sized bubbles dissolved in the fluid and possibly a bigger bubble (which could have been in the bleeder line). The brakes improved, but not to the level I expected. I took maybe half a cup out overall.
I literally used this yesterday when I bled the brakes. It was almost identical to what came out other than the stuff coming out was a little darker. Same thickness and everything. Also this is what autozones website says is for the 2019+ Ranger so there’s also that.
My 2019 has this same issue. I've had it since new, and the dealer has done the rear brakes like 9 times due to warping rotors. I'm now at 51K miles and the warranty is expired, so the dealer has successfully "waited me out". I'll be bleeding the brakes here soon and probably changing rotors...
I’ve had my rear brakes replaced 5 times, my rotors turned twice, and just my pads in the rear replaced at least 3 times due to shitty pedal feel, and warping rotors. I’m certain they could have just fixed it once by bleeding the brakes completely but they just dicked around until my warranty...
52000 miles and the brakes still have 3" of travel before they start to grab, and they are mushy past that. I tried the ABS bleed from the video and it didn't do anything different. I'll have to properly bleed them and see if it goes away after that, but they are by far the worst brakes I've had...
Sounds like a solid theory. I was told that the part number would be same, but the flash would be different. Who knows though, it seems like you just change them and then cycle through the last one with odd numbers until something works.
main reason I gave up is my truck is an fx4 and my dads...
Nobody I’ve seen has done this. That said don’t overwrite the vin which is usually in the first few blocks.
hill decent control is replace by trail control on fx4 trucks.
I’m told by reliable sources that this feature is in the tcm and not available if not equipped. About 2 years ago we all went through a bunch of asbuilt files and several users made changes to their trucks. Nobody was successful.

It can be jerky, but isn’t always, and the braking feature isn’t what I would expect. When you brake it slows you down to your desired speed and leaves you there, I feel like it should slow you down and when you let off the brake it should resume your prior set speed. It’s only jerky when you...
