Thanks - that makes a lot more sense. It's just so odd that the start-stop stopped working the day I picked up the truck from tune.
One other weird thing, now that I have the new battery - the steering assist is much stronger. I know that sounds odd, but I haven't felt it really grab the curves...
AH! That makes a lot more sense, I didn't put those two together. That's very odd though that the start stop 'stopped' right after the Tune. Wonder if the tune affects the battery usage? I'm taking out of the air here...
So, then it's likely my miss-assumption that start-stop starting working...
There are no notes in the service receipt about updating anything other than the Battery Monitoring System. They tested the battery worth a midtronics tool.
If I hook up the Ford ProCal can I see if it is still in place? I had the tune applied at an ASE tech but they are a bit of a drive.
I had the tune done mid Jan 2022. One change I noticed after the tune was done, was the Auto-Start-Stop was permanently disabled. The truck acted like it was turning itself off, but it never really did.
Then in late Feb I started to get issues with the battery: default system chimes when...
I didn't have a question to begin with
Was merely stating my experience, as saw others post related questions.
Thread quickly went off the rails, and I got yelled at by some guy
No overloading occurred in the making of this post.
I've been getting the same screen message recently on my 2019 XLT with the electronics packages. Same battery. 26k miles. My system sounds are also reverting to the basic buzzes which i think is attributed to the lower battery as well. I plan to take it in and assume a replacement battery is in...
um. Op here. I never said that. If anything I was MORE concerned with off-road shocks than stock. That was my entire point of the post.
Please stop putting words in my mouth to prove your rhetoric.
put the top of just in case of blowing dirt. The dirt was below the truck edge and even space around in there.
when I got the Gorilla fir mulch, now THAT was overflowing. But considerably lighter.
??
yes. The part I didn’t get was why he took all the time to write that when just saying, “hey all because you didn’t experience anything bad doesn’t mean you didn’t break something” Would have sufficed.
Thanks for the follow up replies. Yes my point was just to share my experience as I saw some other questions posted searching.
That pic is loaded. It still had a lot of play in suspension. Never bottomed out.
Ok well, I DID screw up and think the max was 1860, not reading the fine print that's 4x2. I've never had to worry about that before so a little too quick using google.
But knowing that, and knowing that a yard of dirt is 2000 lbs. I got 3/4 of yard which is about 1500 lbs. And maybe a bit...
Ok, so the kit replaced all four points of suspension and leveled the FRONT - what do you mean "only lifted the rear" ? The front suspension comes pre-set from Ford with 2" to level out the front.
And are you saying the Ford Performance kit isn't what it claims to be? Very confused here...
Ok - so isn't that what the max payload rating is for? I wasn't trying to say the shocks somehow improved the ability to carry more weight. And I guess I miss-read the "max of 1860" as that applies to the 4x2, but the 4x4 is still 1500, which is probably about what I had (maybe a tad over)...
I’m lost on this thread now.
crashed tractors. Gawr. And non-level-lovers.
(And btw I leveled it bc I plan to off-road and just happened to have to get dirt for yard…)
Not sure I understood that, new springs affects wheel bearings?
Honestly I don’t even know what the max payload is anymore. Thr marketing says thr xlt 4x4 max payload is 1800. But thr sticker in the door says not to exceed 1450 total cargo…??
There were some questions around hauling max capacity with upgraded suspension. Just wanted to write that I’ve done two loads so far of 3/4 of a yard of dirt and not run into any problems.
They estimated that it weighs about 2000lbs per yard and so I paid for a full yard but asked they only...
