Its a mixt
Its a mixture of fuel, water and oil. When we think of fuel cleaning intake valves we think of port injection, which this mixture oozing its way though your intake manifold and sitting on the valves is nothing close in comparison.
Even on port injected vehicles I ran catch cans for...
Here is Mishimoto (left) with 10k miles of mostly winter and UPR (right) with 7k miles of mostly summer. I just filled the UPR bottle, so it hasn't had time to separate like the Mishimoto sample.
During the cold these cans fill up QUICK. I was emptying my mishimoto every 1-2k in the winter.
I just emptied my UPR for the first time in a month (its cooled off) and sure enough look at all that water.
I installed the drain line that comes with the UPR if you option it. You can see the 90⁰...
Either way you burn the same amount of gas. I'd pay an extra $25 a fill up for 10 more gallons and be able to to another 190 miles between gas stations.
No the Mishimoto was not dual valve.
The lines, can and valves are very high quality on the UPR and with out a doubt will out perform and outlast the mishimoto.
The mishimoto during the winter was a pain because the can has so much less capacity I had to keep a close eye on it or it would...
I have the AFE offroad pipe in my office right now. I went with them because SPD took their offroad pipes off the menu.
I'm having a shop cut the 2.5" reduction off and add a V band flange and then doing the same with my MBRP catback with a flex pipe.
Going to get the down pipe coated inside and...
Love my UPR dual valve set up. By far the best system I've ever had in a vehicle. Build quality is top notch. I replaced my Mishimoto system with the UPR.
Very excited to see progress. Thanks
Thank you for the progress pictures! Happy to see forward momentum. I'm getting sick of filling my truck up every 4 days.
SPD makes a high quality true 3" system from the down pipe back.
Its something I've been considering because its a true 3" and supposedly one of the more quiet systems. Ive always deleted cats, but a high flow cat may be necessary if we're wanting to keep 4cyl sounds to a minimum and have an...
I would buy it regardless, but there seems to be plenty of room to make q large tank b
Thats great to hear. I can't wait to purchase your finished product and be able to skip a gas station or two when we are towing our boat out of town.
I didnt like how Mountune makes you use your stock tubes with their silicone ends to match up to their end tanks. It is lesser than ideal for sure. The stock hot side pipe is weirdly small.
They do plan on making replacement piping in the future and Mishimoto is currently working on pipes that...
I feel like there are alot of great products just around the corner for our trucks. Mishimoto and Mountune should be releasing intercooler piping to match their intercoolers next year as well.
I'm definitely on board to buy the LR gas tank the second its available. Im okay with any size but the...
Any updates from Long Range? I'm real jealous of my friends F150 35 gallon tank. We get the same MPG towing but he can go twice the distance. My wife told me to get a truck with a bigger gas tank.
Very cool. Mountune just released their intercooler with out pipes and I think we can all agree that the hot side pipe is ridiculous the way it steps down near the air recirculating valve.
I'll buy a tank as long as they keep it above the frame. Im even okay with 25 gallons. At 10 mpg towing that's an extra 70 miles which would allow me to make my 200 mile weekend trips to the lake have alot less hassle with the crowded pumps.
Everyone take a second to reach out to Titan fuel tanks. I messaged them and sent them a link to this thread... sub $1000 for a made in USA 36 gallon tank on 2015-2020 Colorados and canyons.
Made from Polymer.
