After getting yelled at for a week I just nodded and didn’t say anything. Wife was breast feeding in hospital and Nurse Ratched thought for some reason I had to getup also (had fancy room with pull down bed) I was tired and made a comment with alot of adjectives that started with F. Didn’t go...
Im planning on going with nokian’s this winter. The plan is to get new wheels and just put the winters on the stock 18” wheels. Ive done steelies in the past and since a warning light on the dash (1)drives me nuts and (2)my inspection sticker is up in February it would fail because of the dash...
Followed wifes direction to put car seat in center. Used inside latch mounts for both back seats. Bitchy postpartum nurse who treated me like crap the entire time my wife was in hospital had to come look at it. Then proceeded to tell me i was pretty much an idiot. Just kept my mouth shut and...
Heres mine. Just turned 5k miles. Of those I tracked 2k were pulling fairly heavy uhaul trailers. 2k were pure hwy miles. The best mpg I got was non ethanol 93 octane. I have run nothing but 91/93 octane since I got it from dealer. Changed oil to full synthetic and am curious how it does with...
Looks good but be prepared for Nurse Ratched shoot your dyi mounts down. They do a car seat check at the hospital and I had mine mounted in the center of our escape. No go. Got the your an idiot and your kids doomed speech. Left me in a freezing parking garage and went and told
My wife I was an...
Ive had water methanol in two vehicles. We used wwf with heat fuel line drier added to it. It ate up the injectors. Switched to distilled water and methanol from our race gas sponsor and maintenance on the injectors went away. Not sure how pure the water i wwf is.
Snow tires make any vehicle handle in the snow like it is on rails. The difference is amazing. Living in Vermont the snow removal is amazing but there are roads that are definitely on the we will get to it when we get to it. Thats where the snow tires and 4 wd earn their keep.
I remove as many emblems that are stuck on paint as possible because I hate cleaning polish from around them. Less crap to hit with DA and eat up expensive foam pads.
Did first oil change yesterday on my 2012 Lariat and installed another Stahlbus oil drain valve. This is the 3rd vehicle I have installed one on. No need to remove skid plate now that valve is installed and the oil simply drains into the jug I take to dump for recycling via the included hose. As...
Was thinking a cb mount also. Reception here is spotty due to the mountains. Wife told me on way home from picking up truck it was either xm or spotify. I listen to spotify at work all the time its a no brainer.
I have a sheet of plywood in garage with 3- 2x4’s screwed to lengthwise that i take when I pick up a sheet or so of drywall. Leave tailgate up and put drywall on top of plywood. Ratchet strap down and risk of drywall breaking is greatly reduced.
Probably won’t really start doing anything to it until spring. Unless I put snow tires on the stock rims. Ill see how the oem tires do in snow and mud season.
So all i have seen are threads for people looking for stubby antennae’s. I am curious about going the other way. Radio reception by me sucks because of mountains (so does satellite depending where you are and management already has shut down paying for radio) truck will never be in garage and...
I use P&S beadmaker as a wetting agent when I wash. About every month or so I wait until it dries completely and then apply again. Just make sure car is clean and I would clay the car prior to first application since it will seal in any crap in the paint.
The sync 3 nav in the wifes escape I have called HAL for quiet some time. Has honestly never worked on voice and it is honestly easier to use google maps on phone. The nav in my 2020 lariat seems a little
Better but honestly the only reason I got nav was it was on truck on lot. Perhaps you need...
