What headlamp bulbs did you go with? Do you have the dust covers on partially or not at all? Sorry for all the questions but I can't stand the halogen bulbs but really don't like the idea of running LED's without the covers. Just trying to see what others are doing. Thanks for the info!
No, it more than likely will not be hardwired. There is no separate door wiring harness part number for a Ranger with or without the door key pad. So unless there is currently a connector on our current Rangers for a key pad, then it's not going to be hard wired, at least not in its current...
The dealers pricing from Ford is $368.15 for suggested list price (with remote start). Ford currently has it listed in there system at a suggested retail price or $100.00. This price discrepancy will more than likely get resolved after May 1st when the dealers get the pricing updated from Ford...
Are you running the headlights without dust covers? I am thinking about doing the same thing but I am a little worried about not having the dust covers on. I assume that with the bulbs in place the actual headlamp housing will be sealed. Thanks for all your posts by the way. We have all picked...
Yeah, so much for a late march ship date. I have a stage one ordered through one of my suppliers and a stage 2 kit with the tubular UCA's ordered through a contact at Icon. My stage one guy says any day now but I am going to end up canceling it and wait for the stage 2. I tried reaching out to...
Here is a cool video from the folks at Stage 3. Looks like they were pretty impressed with what the Ranger could do. It was put up a few days ago so if it was already posted then my apologies. Take a look,
Well, this one is MINE so it's not for sale :sunglasses:. I actually work at a dealer in Southern California and I placed it on order as soon as I realized it was on back order. I have a couple more on order and will report back when they come in. I will be more than happy to sell them to forum...
Back-ordered wiring harness, part number KB3Z-15K868-D, came in today. This is the harness that is needed to add the 7 pin plug that is located in the bumper. This part number is for Rangers with back up sensors.
I haven't installed my bulbs yet. I think I am going to do it this weekend. I am using a different bulb from "Lasfit". My local dealer sells them and they work fantastic. https://www.lasfit.com/collections/la/products/h11-h9-h8-led-headlight-fog-light-la-series?variant=13884832448596
It comes off easy. Four nuts hold the legs down and four bolts hold the cross bars. After we installed it the first time we put tiny white paint marks where the Skybox mounts so next time we know where to line everything up. We don't leave it permanently mounted and it comes off quick .
On a side note from your sway bar issue, there is nothing wrong with the Rough Country level kit. Ours have been on for 4000 miles which includes a road trip from southern California to Utah including some pretty aggressive off road trails. One member had an issue which, while he is pretty...
Did you get new dust covers with these? If not, what did you do to get them to fit? Also, you said that the had to rotate the collar to get the LED chips vertical, I thought the chips needed to be horizontal (facing left and right). Thanks for tackling this!
I believe @j0shm1lls found it in an earlier post. If I remember correctly, he stated that the splash screens go away after you turn off the ignition. You can probably do it permanently in Forescan. I have the complete Ford "GT" theme in my F-150. It completely changes everything including the...
Keep in mind that, according to the directions and Ford's website, when using the Yakima Overhaul Hd with the Embark LS cover that the capacity is limited to 300LBS highway and 180LBS when off-roading. The Embark LS is the Retrax with a Ford emblem so I would imagine it would be the same as far...
Awesome, thanks for the response. I just ordered them so I will report back when they are installed. I am all about a clean OE looking install. Thanks again for the info!!
Do you have a link to the specific pods you bought on Amazon? Also, just to clarify, you didn't use any additional hardware to mount them? Just the factory brackets with a little modifications?
