I would also like to add that Baja Designs customer service did a GREAT job at following up and taking care of the issue. They responded quickly to my email and already shipped out the missing spacers. They are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. These things happen and I appreciate the great customer...
I'm with you. I like mine flush as well and since these are more of a "flood" beam pattern, aligning them won't make a difference in the direction of the light. I think that even with the spacers it will still be flush against the housing. The spacers, in my opinion, are just to fill in some of...
Looks like there was supposed to be 8 spacers after all. I just received this response from Baja Designs and they are saying that it was a mistake in their build sheet. They are sending me out 4 more spacers. You can probably reach out to them and they will send you the other four. Also, you...
Agreed, great write up. I also installed my set this weekend while my headlamps and valence was out. This made my install really easy. I agree, the instructions SUCK! I was a thought my kit were short 4 spacers but @Robby also only had 4 spacers (he didn't use any of them) so I figured it was...
Yes, this will not be for everyone. $2000 is a lot of money. Let's be honest, if you option out an XLT and a Lariat the same way then you are looking at about a $3500+ difference in price. This is more of an option for the people, like ourselves, who didn't want a lot of the options that came...
I can sell them to forum members for about $480 cheaper per side ($960 cheaper for the pair) than the price listed in your post. Also, if you are out of state (I'm in California) then you wouldn't pay any sales tax but there would be shipping involved. Yes, at around $2150 for the pair it isn't...
Yes sir, they are completely plug and play. The first thing I did was look up the wiring diagram to see if there was a different set up between the Lariat and the XLT, there wasn't. It looks as though everything is done in the headlamp assy itself. For example, on the XLT/XL, when you hit the...
When we bought or Ranger we decided that the XLT was the right choice for us. We HATED the dash on the Lariat, didn't want/need the leather seating, and the push button start is more of an annoyance for my wife on her job. The only thing that we really wanted were the headlamps that are on the...
The clicking sound you are hearing is the DI (direct injection) pump. It seems to be louder on the 2.3 in some Rangers than others. We compared mine to two other rangers at the dealer and mine is definitely a little louder than them. The dealer is going to change it out with a new one under...
Too tight to cut it with a Sawzall but you can get at it with a grinder/cut off wheel. At least I don't think so. It took some finessing with a cut off wheel.
I just received the same email today,
"Ranger kits are estimated to be shipping early May. As we get closer I will be able to provide a more accurate ETA for you.
Thank you."
Got these to swap out the factory fog/driving lights. I was going to go the cheaper route like @MrRisk but these are a huge upgrade in quality over the amazon ones. Also, no modifications required. These will be going on this weekend.
Here are the part numbers and description just to clarify. There is no option on door wiring harness with or without keypad. It is 99.9% going to be battery powered.
Backorder has been pushed back to 05/09. I have a harness sitting on the floor in my office but like a doofus, I dragged my feet on the hitch and now that is on back order. I have two KB3Z-15K868-D's on a priority order so they should be here before the off back order date. One of them is...
There is no separate door harness part number listed with or without door keypad. So unless there is a connector taped away somewhere in the door on all of the Rangers (with or without factory keypad) then it will be battery powered. At least not for 2019, perhaps 2020 will be different.
