  3. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Installed ditch light brackets and ditch lights as well as an Auxbeam 6 gang switch panel to tie everything together. The ditch lights are cheap Lightfox ones but surprisingly good - will probably swap them for something better later on though as I doubt they'll last too long. It was a rather...
  4. 2022 V6 vs Old Ranger (AUS)

It sounds weird but in photos, the screen looks much bigger than it actually is for some reason. It's a nice manageable size in the flesh, and very high definition with excellent colours ?
  5. 2022 V6 vs Old Ranger (AUS)

My brother just got his new one (XLT 4 cylinder diesel) and it is so much better than my 2020 model in every way. If it ends up with the 2.7 EB in America, it would be in a class of it's own.

November here should be sunny and warm, but on our public holiday yesterday it was freezing cold with bouts of rain and hail all day. So we went out into the bush with the family to this old hut, made a roaring fire in the open fireplace, ate, drank and enjoyed each other's company. The kids...
  7. How about some Jokes [Admin: No Politics, Religion, Nudity, Explicit Posts]

A university class studying medicine was invited for a few days into a neurology hospital to see brain surgery in progress. There were a number of patients coming through that day, starting off with a Japanese man. The surgeon opened up his skull and, to the surprise of the students, inside his...

The 340 is a great car, nice choice.
  9. Tire Replacement Time

I changed from the stock Dunlops which were quite scary in the wet to Falken Wildpeak AT3W. So far they have been fantastic in our cold and wet winter. Time will tell regards mileage, although they are reported to be fine.

  13. 4x4 Capabilities without Fx4 package

Same stock clearance to the diff pumpkin maybe, but you're lifting all the other scrapy bits out of the way including frame rails, fuel tank, front diff etc with a suspension lift
  14. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Firewood season! We cut about 4-5m3 of Stringy Bark and Manna Gum. (Excuse my daggy old trailer)
  15. What did you let go to get your Ranger?

2017 Skoda Octavia RS with a few mods. I really miss the power and the handling; that was a super fun car. Oh and the heated seats. But overall the Ranger is far more useful.
  16. My boss just won the Tremor war...

You might be pleasantly surprised, pricing for the new ranger just came out in Australia and they are very close to the prices of the outgoing model. I priced up the XLT with the new V6 turbo diesel and it came in around $64,500; the list price of my XLT with the 4 cylinder biturbo diesel was...

That looks great! Do you find the Nitto's noisy?
