Well... 1st thing I do when I get in the truck is turn off the "Auto Start / Stop"... makes zero sense for a guy in Central Colorado. Pretty damn stupid of Ford to force such a stupid option onto their customers.
@ryyck I just replaced the stock OEM original battery in my 2019 Ranger with another Motorcraft OEM battery.
Why did I change it? The wife suggested it. We're in the mountains and don't want to get stuck out in the boonies with a dead battery.
I changed the battery out myself and it is as...
Well whatever oil you use... change it often...like every 4,000 miles...

Just getting caught up on all this by reading this thread. Glad you're ok, and that's a bummer about your Ranger. Some people's kids, right? This thread has been very educational in regard to how the truck repairs would need to be done, and how crazy expensive it would be.

Oh.... And.... Sooner or Later, You'll Own General's. ;-) Did you add the red lettering, or is that the way the tires come? My Michelin Dude needs colorized.
No SuperCab? What a disappointment.
Sure hope I can get 17 years of trouble free service out of our 2019 STX/FX4 SuperCab, like we did our 2002 Tacoma. So far so good. I guess at that point we'll be trading it on on a new 2036 Tacoma Extended Cab?
But by 2036... maybe Ford will pull their...

Based on others having this same thing happen ^^^^ I carry a 10 mm wrench in my console.
If this happens, pop the hood, take the wrench and unhook the negative battery cable. Wait a couple minutes then hook it back...
