When hauling a single dirt bike, I often put it diagonally and use my O-track in the middle of the front wall and one of the center tie down points.
When I only had 4, it was the fronts and middles. I very rarely need the rear ones, but they're nice to have.
If I could only have 2, it would...
I made my own from some scrap bits of bar stock and u-bolts.. Drilled the bolt holes to match the holes in the bed, then drilled holes for the u-bolts to stick through. Stuck the u-bolts in to the desired length, cut off the extra sticking out the back, and then welded front and back.
Couple...
You have a lariat? I have an xlt and I don't think it shows anywhere, but I could be wrong. But I meant the temp from android auto. It used to show in the top right next to the time, but with coolwalk it disappeared.
She wasn't driving, the car wasn't moving, and she required several surgeries and still didn't fully heal. Also McDonalds had been warned on multiple occasions that their coffee was dangerously hot - much more so than coffee you'd get at Starbucks or basically anywhere that commercially sells...
I don't know.. my main use is motorcycle hauling with some lumber, equipment, .etc.. normal bed load is around 600lbs when loaded. Max trailer has been about 2500lbs. If Maverick had a 5ft bed I would have traded the Ranger for it with no hesitation. Probably the ecoboost for the towing capacity.
Nope, wasn't missing that. Just pointing out that getting your truck not to squat doesn't mean it's got plenty of weight over the front.
Yep, although I'm curious by how much- truck undersides aren't exactly a wing, and lots of people out there run the squat look on purpose- even unloaded...
The moment you put anything behind the axle you are taking weight off the front tires. You just don't get a visual indicator if your springs are too stiff to squat.
If you had no suspension at all, you could only have 1 pound of weight on the front and be horrifically unsafe, but it would look...
Is there anywhere to find what is actually in the update? I searched here and Google and the ford website, but all I can find is HOW to update, not WHY to update.. What does it fix, what does it change, etc...
Any chance one of you brave pioneers is about to load 300-500 pounds into the bed to see what the sag looks like? Really interested, but I do haul dirt bikes fairly frequently and don't want to go nose high...
I can just barely make do with the 5 foot bed the crew cab ranger has. If the Maverick had a 5 foot bed (or 6 foot option with the crew cab), I'd be checking into carvana and putting down a deposit. The Ranger is the best option among the smaller trucks now,, but it's still too tall and I...
Did this ever pop up again? I just had the same thing. No lights, nothing. Steering wheel wasn't even locked. Popped the hood, checked fuses. Heard a click (not while touching anything), and then it was fine. Curious if it ever reoccured.
Everybody mentions that they are with traffic or use cruise or whatever, but very few state what speed they run on the highway. In Texas most highways are 70mph and interstates are almost all 75. In many other states interstates are 65 or 70 and other highways can be 55. In my experience over...
Thirteen minutes just to say, "your keyless entry fob is always transmitting and theives can record and duplicate the frequency to steal your car. If you wrap your fob in foil or a Faraday pouch they can't do it anymore."
I know there's showmanship and all, but that should've been a 2 minute...
I did. I googled it, and I believe solution was to delete the truck from the phones bluetooth, and remove the phone from the truck's connected devices, then reboot the phone.. Not. 100% sure that was it, but it works now..
