Have the forum members come up with any ideas of the what why and how this happens to all of our trucks that arent even 5 years old yet? Was it really just shit engineering and bad manufacturing parts due to Covid? Really makes me lose faith in Ford because my safety and those who are driving...
I didn’t have a single light or warning symbol pop on the dash when it happened. I’ve also never had a single check engine light pop in all my years of driving it.
has anyone gone the lemon law route with these trucks yet and how did that work out for you.
Truck got dropped off to dealer last night. It lost acceleration 3 times throughout the day and slammed in and out of gear rolling up to stop signs and through the metering lights merging on to the freeway. I hope they can replicate what is happening and fully address this because the truck is...
As an update to this, I have not had any time to bring the truck back to the dealership yet. I've been driving it about 20mi / day as my commute to work and home is short like another person said above.
The oil leak was from a failed gasket seal, Ford actually took 5 days to fix this due to not having the part on hand. So yeah, mostly an inconvenience in the blip of time.
I will mention TSB 24-2101 to the rep when I go in next.
Curious, how many minutes do you all let your vehicles warm up...
Background: I have a '21 Fx4 34,300 miles. Regular oil changes. Last oil change was in July, dealership found an oil leak and repaired it. All othe rmaintenance has been normal and nothing to report.

I once had a squirrel living inside the engine of my Mini Cooper, found him BBQ'd to death and all of his acorns one day after smelling something rotting.
Every single person who walked by while I ate lunch out at the beach today took a picture or a selfie with the cybertruck.
Also, someone rode by on a bike and yelled "Ford F'n Ranger" at me. haha
It took me 10 hours to get to North Shore, Hwy 80 was closed for a good 4 hours and I was at a standstill as the tow companies moved a couple of tour buses that washed out and about 8 different car wrecks of various Nissan Altimas and Teslas without chains. The Ranger handled very well and the...
A/T4W's have been installed for about a week now and I love them. Quiet and very smooth ride, its been raining here and I feel safer on the highways with these equipped. I'll be up in the snow at North Shore in about 3 days for hopefully some nice photos to post here.
edit: Also the only other...
Update: Dealer kept the truck about 2 days, found nothing wrong. They put about 25-30 mi on the odometer which tanked my MPG on the computer for some reason. Took it to them with an average of 21.8 got it back with an average of 21.1 oh well I guess.
Codes were checked - clear
Fluid levels -...
I never asked the service representative if it was okay to drive. At the time I was more focused on just getting it in to see a mechanic. Also, even if they had said it was fine to drive just me being me, I'd like to have that in writing and on paper. Pretty sure my extended warranty says that...
after speaking to a mechanic friend for advice, I gave the truck a once over yesterday and fired it up, no codes on dash - nothing.
drove it a couple of blocks and it seemed to be driving okay, the acceleration was there but I can't and don't want to try getting it to freeway speeds in my...
I'll go ahead and read through that right now while I wait for a phone call that isn't coming from the non existent dealer service center here in Redwood City California
called my dealership for a service appointment this morning, earliest I can get in is August 30th
WTF...
I asked for a courtesy vehicle in the meantime and they said no..... then I got angry and repeated the the truck is brand new and unsafe to drive in this condition... they said they'd...
