Wanted to replace my Ridge Grapplers with something that can handle snow and not feel like a lug. Was hoping to get AT3W's but it looks like they have been replaced by the 4W's. Just put them on and the 285/70r17's are a couple of mm's large than my RG's in the same size. So just a heads up, you will have to remove the front tire air dams to clear. Definitely rubbing full lock reverse. I have modified readylift crash bars, but the air dam is just barely rubbing.

Just wanted to share in case anyone was looking to purchase the AT4W's.

Cheers!

Pretty sure that's what I am going with in a couple of weeks. Still have the factory Hankooks. They have 45K on them and although the tread depth is still decent, they are getting slick on wet roads. I am going with 255/70/18 so I shouldn't have any fitment issues. Throw us some more pics!

How do they look?

Ooooh…they have 35x11.5 too. Might be my next tire for the Bronco unless I re-gear.

If I keep the Ranger it will get a set of these or MT Baja Boss. Looking forward to your reports!

A/T4W's have been installed for about a week now and I love them. Quiet and very smooth ride, its been raining here and I feel safer on the highways with these equipped. I'll be up in the snow at North Shore in about 3 days for hopefully some nice photos to post here.

edit: Also the only other tires I was considering were the Maxxis Razr's. I'm very glad I went with Falken, the brand that I knew I could trust because I previously had the AT3W's on my 2001 FX4

The only thing I dont like about the ATW4s is they are heavier than the ATW3s,but you do get a thicker side wall.

First good snow here to test them out properly. About a foot of fresh powder and they did great. Much better than the Ridge Grapplers which were ok in fresh snow, but ice skates on packed snow/ice.
Very impressed so far.

It took me 10 hours to get to North Shore, Hwy 80 was closed for a good 4 hours and I was at a standstill as the tow companies moved a couple of tour buses that washed out and about 8 different car wrecks of various Nissan Altimas and Teslas without chains. The Ranger handled very well and the new tires were spectacular. i would trust the AT4's with my life.
